Greetings Prayer Room Participants,

Something has been brought to my attention that I need to address. It is our desire for this room to be a place to bring prayer requests and to ask for brothers and sisters in Christ to stand with us in our time of need. At the same time we need to be mindful of how we pray. By this, I mean that though we want to pray positively for others we need to be very careful regarding the language we use, especially when the request we are praying for involves another person who is part of the reason the prayer requests is being brought forth. We need to choose our words wisely and make sure that we are not digressing into a situation where we are name calling or accusing another of being of the devil.

There are number of factors I could go over, but think it not wise to give to much attention to negative actions and will simply encourage us to focus on the request and laying it before God without accusing another. For in any request our goal must always be a righteous outcome of which only God can know the exact answer that is needed in any situation.

Because this is a serious situation that can lead to other problems for individuals and TheNET our team will need to monitor the Prayer Room more closely and will need to remove remarks that appear to be derogatory.

If you see any comments that appear questionable please inform me immediately. You will stay anonymous and I will make the final judgment on the comment in question.

(NEW) Because this is an open group that is visible to the worldwide web we need to refrain from using names when praying for others without their permission.

Lord Bless,

LT

All,

The subject of finding a good church home has been mentioned quite a bit lately. I also agree with that need. I am continuing to pray for these that have mentioned their desire in this area. When I pray that each of you find a good Bible-believing church, I mean by that a church that teaches the Trinity - that God is a person, Jesus is a person of that same Godhead and that the Spirit is a real person of that Godhead. There are some churches that do not teach this. Churches like Mormonism, Unity, Unitarian and others have a different view of God and Jesus in particular. If I were visiting a church, this would be the first question I had for one of the pastors. I would then want to know how they feel about the Word of God. If a church says we believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Word of God, you are safe. If a church says that they believe that the Bible contains God's Word or that the Bible is a guide into higher consciousness or something like that, you would want to avoid that church.

While the Trinity is difficult for us to understand, we must acknowledge that each person of the Godhead is acknowledged as  eternal God in Holy Scripture. Christ is not a higher consciousness, He is a real person that came as a baby and was raised human like but was much different that all of us. He faced all of our temptations but was God in the flesh. We are not God in the flesh. We are humans. God came to us some 2,000 years ago as a baby and lived among us and man beheld His glory. He was different than all the rest of us and none of us can ever evolve into Christ. There is only one Christ and Jesus is His name. God the Son lived on this earth for over thirty years and then was crucified on a cross for our sins. On the third day He rose from the dead and lived on this earth another forty days and then ascended to the Father where He now abides. However He is with us through the Spirit which now dwells among us. Jesus told us that the Spirit would be with us and would be in us. Sometimes we can get confused about the Spirit that lives within us but that Spirit is also God. However, we are not God and will never be God or become a god. These are false teachings that the believer must avoid. Neither will we be angels. We will always be God's children. That is a blessed existence. I praise our God for making us a part of His family. Tomorrow we will celebrate His coming. Yet, I celebrate His coming every day, but I still love Christmas.

God bless you all and have a wonderful Christmas. I pray for those who will not have their family members with them this Christmas time. I pray for their restoration. And, if you have a family member like I do that is celebrating Christmas in heaven with the real reason for Christmas, that person would not choose to be here with us even if they could. We miss them greatly but they are now with our Lord. Someday we also will be with Him. It is His promise.

Father, be with all this day. In Jesus name.

Yes, my sons' church (I say sons because there are two of them that pastor that church) teach a message of hope, love and forgiveness and it is growing. There are so many without hope. I love visiting the church but would really feel out of my comfort zone in a large church. I pray that you have found a good one. I also pray that Marty will find a good Bible believing, Bible preaching church. AAG is a wonderful and very comforting place and is a great place for support and learning. However, I don't think it can take the place of a fellowship of people meeting to raise their voices in unity to celebrate our loving Savior. Then, when the church is finished, people shake hands and show support through just being friendly. You just can't beat a good home church. I pray this is a good one. Blessings to all and all have a Merry Christmas.

That sounds very nice, Amanda. I went to a church with about 800 this morning and the Christmas Eve service tomorrow is expecting a thousand. I prefer the smaller church but God has a place for both. Remember, good things come in small packages. I trust it goes well this next Sunday.

Blessings.

Praise God sister! I'm so happy for you. :)

This is a tough time of year for many. If you have no family and no close friends much of this holiday can create depression or maybe bring it closer to the surface. Remember that God has a special plan for each of us. Listen to His calling and serve His divine purpose. No doubt the closer we come to the Father's will the greater the the effort of the enemy is brought against us. Find strength in your weakness. God does.

The Body of Christ is as much here amongst us in our communion of faith as it is in a brick and mortar church. Love each other. Serve God. Pray together here. Pray at church. Pray always! No matter how much we may try to keep God close. He wants us to be even closer.  I'm so very thankful for this message board and my fellow warriors. I love going to my church too but I feel closer in Spirit to you folks here than to those with whom I worship inside a church.

Yes, dear sister, if you're uncomfortable in a church, than it's best not to be in that church. What is one of the biggies in scripture? Don't make a brother/sister in Christ stumble. And God doesn't want you to stumble. :)

You're in church right now though....you're apart of the true Church. His Church. For you're apart of the body of Christ. This forum is made up of members in the Body of Christ. Therefore this is like church.

I don't go anymore anyways. "Maria" has had problems and she hasn't been coming to take me to church. We haven't gone in over a month [it's been almost two months, since Nov. 4th if I remember correctly the date].

Honestly, I was jealous of those who actually could worship with others face to face. It was wrong and Jesus forgave me of that sin. I still have fellowship [on here and a few other forums]. That and I know He's coming back for us soon. Fellowship face to face with the brothern will happen for all of eternity. Just have to hold out and wait for Jesus to come.

We won't need a computer for fellowship than. :) For we will get to fellowship face to face.

Father,

I pray that You will help Amanda, Marty and Chip find a good church. And if it be Your will, help Chip to start this home church that he desires. I thank You for this Your day but we understand that everyday if Your day. You have made every day for Your purpose and intend to draw us nearer to You. Even during these trying days, let Your presence become even stronger in all these. Sometimes we just need a place where we can heal from so many circumstances. I pray they can find a place that will continue to celebrate the freedom they have in You and not attempt to bring a new bondage upon them. You have called us to be free. Help us enjoy that freedom this day. I praise You for this freedom. You are our God and we are Your people. We will not be brought into bondage.

Father, we continue to pray for Hubert and rejoice in Your work in Ken. Father, we continue to pray for Sandra. We pray for Robby and his wife that they will be restored. I pray for Chris and his family. Father I pray that You will bring us all closer to You. Forgive our sins and keep us in Your hand.

Father, today we celebrate and pray for every church that will be preaching You Gospel to the lost. May many be saved from their sins. Bless those presenting Your Word with a mighty anointing and may many find the hope we all have found. Bless those that will be leading worship. May Your church be blessed this day. Forgive us for our continued division but bless us as we praise Your name.

In Jesus name.
