I created a group called Finding and Keeping a life Partner, I would love to have your impute there.

I will share some of the stuff I have there here and hope some of you join it and share things in this group as well - great group. I am glad I found it.

Hi. I just joined this group today. About a year ago I became single again due to some things I found out about him. It was a bad situation. Praise God He has brought me through and made me stronger in my walk with Him.

There are points in my life that I feel truly blessed that I am single. Ive learned that this is God's plan for me, I believe he has many wonderful things in store for my life. What makes it difficult for me are the times I go out and I see couples so happy and in love, It makes me happy to see love, although I yearn to have that one day, and perhaps if that day never comes then I will have to accept God's will.

Hi, I just want to say hello cuz I'm new to this group. I'm not new to the single arena, though. I think I've come to realize that God's plan is higher than my plan, and if He sees it fit to keep me single, then so be it, I trust His judgment. However, it certainly does seem like a lonely life to live when considering how many years I probably have left in this world. What really gets me is the thought of being old and alone, not so much that I am now alone. I can handle it now in my life. It's actually kind of good for me, I think. But, when I'm old, what will it be like without a partner? That worries me..never to have even memories of a life partner, as some have because they were widowed. In my case, I've never been married and have no particular prospects. EEEkkks

Well i believe the time has come for some people to leave this group and join the marrieds group (IF THERE IS ANY) . Surely we dont serve a silent God. Our God is mighty in battle. For how long do we cry out without receive any answer. For some people the doors have been opened. In this season you are going to
walk right through into your marriage. I believe in a God who answers prayers. We have been knocking and God has opened the door. I thank God nights of loneliness are coming to an end.i pray for spiritual eyes that we will not settle for Ishmael but see issac when he comes. No more delay in the name of Jesus. Yes its the most unlikely people who have been faithful to God. The unlikely people. GOD IS ABLE AMEN AND AMEN

I'm reading the comments here with much interest and I agree, its better to wait on God.

Before being saved, I read many books and articles on dating and dating advice and a lot of them were focused on playing games in order to establish "independence". I think there's some truth in this: I think for us men, women are attracted by independence. But I couldn't exactly do it!

Ironically, after being saved and placing God first in my life, I now have to beat women off with a stick! I believe that's due to His work in me and I believe women find that attractive, but I also know that Satan would want me to be unequally yoked. I learned the hard way that no person should come between my walk with God. I should have to reject my spouse if they try, per the Savior's words in Matthew 19:29 and other places. I think whoever He has for me will not try to interfere with that (although I don't think she'll be perfect either).

Honestly, I'm a major advocate of deliverance ministry before marriage. I practice courtship and thus do not believe the relationship should be physical before then. Actually, the OT has two forms of marriage -- betrothal (dedication without sexual relationships) and consummation (the consummation of the betrothal).

I'll probably write more about this on my blog, if people are interested.

well guys waiting is good, but i believe position also plays an impotant part. You need to be rightfully positioned for you to meet your partner. Ladies lets look at Ruth. She positioned herself well in Boaz's field. Rebbecca was at the well when she met Abraham's servant. only when you start doing something in the kingdom will you meet the right person. There in your area of purpose. Sometimes we also look too far and search too deep. Look around you. Maybe the person you are looking for is just near by. So yes let's WATCH and pray.. I repeat WATCH andd pray. My eyes are wide open. LOL

Am with you Sugar, once you go up on your own it never works, as for me I am also learning to be patience, it is not always easy but when you focus on the Lord He will neve forsake you. Amen Sugar God's time always the best, never too early or late just on time.

Bellasonus, Just be patient. I know how hard that can be, believe me, I know. However, when I go out on my own it never seems to work out and I end up getting hurt as well. I have learned to just wait. I know what you mean about the rejection thing as well, and it does hurt pretty bad. So now, I just try to focus on the Lord and trusting that he will send me that special someone when he sees that the time is right. God Bless!
