Beautiful desription of the grace of God! Thanks, Ron, for sharing it with us. It's a song I love. These words reflect a deep experience of the grace of God by this songwriter. And, not surprisingly, it expresses too our deep appreciation of the grace of God.

Ron, God is using you to inspire us and to reinforce the truth of His all-sufficient grace in our hearts.

The Spirit of grace is moving on the hearts of God's people to lift us up from the vanitiy of our beggarly self-righteous efforts and boasting and bring us humbly into the vast resources of the grace of God to help us in our times of need, where our great God is fully glorfied in our lives and accomplishments. I thank God for giving Ron the grace to minister to us on this truth in such a humble, self-vanished way.

Here are some Scripture passages to support what Ron has said:
2 Corinthians 3:4-6:
4: And we have such trust through Christ toward God.
5: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,
6: who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Philippians 2:12-13:
12: Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
13: for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

1 Corinthians 15:10: "But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."

I have just prayed for Sharanda's request in the Nett Prayer Room. Let us believe together that the Lord will intervene and deliver J and the man involved from this adulterous relationship.

Those of you who have not been to the Nett prayer Room please visit there. It's a place where we meet on this site to pray for the needs of one another. Join your faith with those in need and let us trust God to minister to these prayer requests.

Hi. I posted in the Net Prayer Room and I wanted to Post my request here too. If you all can lift up J in prayer. Im asking you to pray God will change her heart and deliver her from adultery and Immorality. Please pray she will become disgusted living in sin with a married man and let go home to his family. Pray for her soul and salvation. Pray she will be convicted and repent. I know prayers can make a difference and where 2 or 3 are gathered, God will be in the midst. Please Intercede for me and pray for J. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Thank you!!!! God Bless

Thanks, Tyras for praying for these two dear children who have lost their Mom and must be separated in order to be cared for. We want to thank Myrna, a member of Grace To Help group, for bringing this need to our attention. We pray for these children, knowing that God is a Father to the fatherless and will undertake for these children. We also pray that the Lord will comfort Myrna and her husband who were neighbors to the deceased woman and have been left sorrowful at the death.

Well, I am thankful for all of you. We are on a precious journey. And your contribution is such an inspiration to me and all in the group.

You know I was recently thinking that in evangelical circles they consider messages on the grace of God and the new birth as elementary and they consider these messages are for sinners, and not needed by those who are already saved. The Holy Spirit showed me what a trickery of the devil this is.

Sinners at the point of coming to the Lord do not and cannot understand these truths which reveal the great work of salvation. It is after we are saved and born again we are given the Spirit to know and understand these truths. And how they burn in our hearts and souls then!

So let us move on. I do not want to leave any of you behind at passive grace. Let us move on into the active grace of God. Remember we are not debating or condemning. We are exploring together God's provision of grace to help us in our needy condition. God bless you.

Thanks Poemia for the invite.

And about grace? This morning I woke up thinking about it, but not in the way you'd expect.

I heard the secular song on the radio, by Neil Diamond, called "Pretty Amazing Grace". I'd never really listened to the lyrics before, but I knew he was singing about the grace of some lady.

He used lots of terms that we Christians use for grace, like being wretched and then found, etc., in a secular context. Maybe he pinched them from John Newton's "Amazing Grace".

I love John Newton's song. The words are so powerful, and so full of truth and the Word of God. It is such a precious gift he gave to the church. And hearing those words "amazing grace" being used in such a worldly way, cuts me to the heart.

Yet, typical of the enemy, he will take the things we hold precious and try and make them naught. They become just words. It's like trampling under feet our precious pearls.

Oh, that the church would know how truly amazing God's grace is!!! Oh, where would we be without it??
