James 1:9-10 But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;
vs 10 and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.
We find true wealth by developing our spiritual life, not by developing our financial assets. God is interested in what is lasting (our souls), not in what is temporary (our money and possessions).

Thank you for your blessed comments Alcedes. We do need faith to please God. Really love the 1 Corinthians verses about God's comfort and compassion.

JOHN 10:24-39
24The Jews then gathered around Him, and were saying to Him, “How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Christ, tell us plainly.” 25Jesus answered them, “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these testify of Me. 26“But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep. 27“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. 29“My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30“I and the Father are one.”

      31The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” 33The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.” 34Jesus answered them, “Has it not been written in your Law, ‘I SAID, YOU ARE GODS’? 35“If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? 37“If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.” 39Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him, and He eluded their grasp.

Right now the place of the scripture is alluding me. Without FAITH it is impossible to please God.

1Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2For by it the men of old gained approval
6And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. HEBREWS 11:1-2 ,HEBREWS 1:6

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, thank You for who You are and for who You’ve made us. I declare today that we are the righteousness of God in Christ. Help us to keep our identity in You and glorify You in all that we do in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.    Hebrews 4:16

just received this so I just had to share it

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV). Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God....... Thoughts on This Verse... We are comforted because we are heartbroken. We are comforted because we need a blessing. We are comforted because God loves us. We are comforted to comfort others. While each of the above statements is true, the last is the most crucial one. There is something about comfort that cannot be fully realized until it is shared with someone else. It is that final step in the healing process of grief, disappointment, hurt, and loss. Until we share the comfort we have received, until we pass it on to another, our comfort is weak and shallow and limited. Comfort, pass it on!
