Praise the Lord for your inspirational posts. We fellowship together, and grow stronger in God every passing minute.

Photo: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father Who is in heaven. ~Matthew 5:16 Like the city set on a hill, or the lighted lamp on a stand. We are told, (1) To let our light shine. (2) Before men. (3) By good works. (4) That they may glorify the Father in heaven. Christ is the Light; we will shine reflected light if we walk in his light. If we give forth light it will honor God.

Psalm 55:22 Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, and He himself will sustain you. Never will He allow the righteous one to totter.

Jehovah God wants us to cast our cares on Him, but often we continue to bear them ourselves even when we say we are trusting in Him. Trust the same strength that sustains you to carry your cares also.

Psalm 97:10

Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

We hate evil because we love the Lord. If we love Him, we love the things He loves and hate the things He hates.

When God judges evil, we want to be on His side. We don't want to be like Lot, who, though it grieved his soul, tolerated the evil in Sodom. Everything Lot lived for was burned up when Sodom went up in smoke (Gen. 19). "He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked." God is on our side. And if God is for us, who can be against us?

What is your attitude toward evil in the world? If you love the Lord, you cannot remain neutral. You must hate evil and oppose it, for it is dangerous to tolerate it. Ask God for the strength to take a stand against evil and be a witness to those who practice it.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29: 11- 13, NIV

I always go back to this one... it is such a calming message when one is out of sorts and the future seems bleak or uncertain.   It is indeed being unable to seek HIM with all one's heart that is the root of all unrest that lies within. I am thankful for this 2 week vacation that enabled me to get my momentum back in searching for God's truth and thirsting for His Word.  I pray that I may be open to God's grace to sustain it.

Philipians 2:4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Paul commanded the Philippians to count others as more significant than themselves (2:3-4). Being united to Christ made the Philippian believers members of the same family and gave them a special bond. Thus their attitude toward one another was to be expressed in practical ways: unity in love, sacrificial service, and discovering how to help others even when they didn’t realize they needed help. The motivation for this type of normal Christian behavior is the example of Jesus Christ.

Let’s carry each other’s burdens. When we selflessly love our neighbors, we are expressing our love for God.

So be truly glad.  There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while.  These trials will show that your faith is genuine.  It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold.  So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. (1 Peter 1:6-7)

WOW, very strong messages from God. God is always with us, and He will take our burdens away if we ask Him too. It is a great blessing for all of us fellowshipping together. Praise the Lord forever and ever, Amen.

Not only is God’s presence the key to our contentment, but it is also the promise that can give us wisdom, peace, comfort, and strength—no matter where we are or what we are doing. —Bill Crowder
Thank You, Lord, for walking with us every day.

Today's Bible Verse:

Matthew 6:25
"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?" (ESV)

Today's Inspiring Thought: Do Not Be Anxious

We waste a lot of precious time worrying. We obsess and become anxious about things we have no control over. But, worrying accomplishes absolutely nothing of value. It won't solve our problems, and we'll never recoup the time and energy we've lost. Adversely, when we worry, we weigh ourselves down, which can lead to more serious problems.

The energy that we spend worrying can be put to much better use in prayer. God knows what we need, and he has the power to control the circumstances of our lives. Why not let him take over our worries?
