Peter told the apostles to repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

God's will for His believers is to maintain a joyful spirit, have a prayerful mind, and exhibit a thankful attitude. These are not random goals. These things depend on one's focus and faith in God. His person, plan, principles, promises, and purposes set forth in scripture.

Paul says that the full nature of God dwells within Jesus. Jesus is completely full of the divine nature. He is all divinity. When Christ came to earth, God came to earth. Believers are complete in Christ because they become partakers in Him. Salvation is the partaking of the very nature of Christ. God's righteousness lives within us.

Trials and difficulties are part of the means the Lord employs to carry us safely to the end of our pilgrimage.
