All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Image and video hosting by TinyPic What Church of God are you? As I come back in reading Revelation last December 2009…
God opened my spiritual eyes to the 7 Churches that John was referring in Revelation Book. .

As we all know …..that you- yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?-- 1 Corinthians 3:16

One morning, January 2, 2010 when Elmo wake up, he immediately looked for his bible and trying to refresh what was his dream all about.. we shared our dreams that morning, for God gave me again prophetic dreams for 2 consecutive days, January 1 and 2. I know it’s a message of God for me this 2010—His will for me…
Ok, back to Elmo hehehehe… he dreamed that I was telling him to open his bible in 2-1-7 and then our pastor in our Church repeat again the number I gave but this time he make a double 7--- 2, 1 7, 7…In that dream of Elmo, he recalled that I was telling him in book of revelation.... As I pray to the Holy Spirit to guide and give us the wisdom to understand what God is trying to tell us in dreams… I began to speak to Elmo : “that God is referring to your church Papa, your own church as what you are now to Him… that the message is in Revelation chapter 2, the 1st. church which is the Ephesus and God is telling in verse 7 what we must do:
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

This dream is a reminder for Elmo who loved to read the bible everyday but lately he can open his bible when there are ministries only, ( Tuesday, Friday and Sunday )
as written in Josue 1:8
Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
And as in his dream that my pastor repeat the number 7--- it means that God wants us to be complete, perfect in His eyes…so He is giving us now is to meditate His Words… and reflect.. time to check our own spirit…

What church of God do you have right now?

"What do the seven churches in Revelation stand for?"

The seven churches described in Revelation 2-3 are seven literal churches at the time that John the apostle was writing Revelation. Though they were literal churches in that time, there is also spiritual significance for churches and believers today. The first purpose is to write to the literal churches and meet their needs at that time. The second purpose is to reveal seven different types of individuals/churches throughout history and instruct them in God's truth.

A possible third purpose is using the seven churches to represent seven different periods in the history of the Church. The problem with this view is that each of the seven churches describes issues that could fit the Church in any time in its history. So although there may be some truth to the seven churches representing seven eras of the Church, too many people go into far too much speculation in order to determine which church fits which era. Instead, our focus should be on what message God is giving to us through the seven churches.

The seven churches are

(1) Ephesus (Revelation 2:1-7) - the church that had forsaken its first love (2:4).

(2) Smyrna (Revelation 2:8-11) - the church that would suffer persecution (2:10).
