A VESSEL IN THE MAKING

The Spirit of God whispered “A vessel in the making” while I was doing cooking on the 7th April 2009.
We know that a vessel is used to hold or store something.

“In a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and of earth: and some for honor and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and preserved unto every good work.” 2 Timothy 2: 20, 21

We will not consider the different kinds of vessels but the “making of the vessel”
Vessels do not just appear from no where but they are made for use.
Vessels of clay are made by a potter. (Jeremiah 18)
Each vessel has its value and its use in a home.

Moses was one such vessel from birth and as he chose to follow the Living God,
we read in Hebrews 11: 24- 29 the making of this vessel starts. He realizes his calling to be a leader and he begins to settle a quarrel between an Egyptian and an Israelite. His zeal made him a murderer and he hid his sin. The next time two Israelites were quarreling and he thought they will understand his position in trying to settle their quarrel but they rejected him saying who made you a ruler over us? He had to flee for his life into the desert. God was watching and He was over-ruling the circumstances, even from his birth. The Lord was still in control although his circumstances had changed.
The Lord now had to get Egypt out of him until be became a broken and meek man ready to hear the voice of the Lord and obey Him!

The Lord says, “Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men.” Mat. 4: 19
We have been called and chosen to bear fruit and that our fruit should remain John 15: 16
God chose us before the foundation of the world to be conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus.
After we are saved we obeyed Him in water baptism and were filled with the Holy Spirit of promise. As our minds are renewed with the Word of God we get established in the faith.
The making of each vessel is uniquely planned and shaped according to His purposes.
Each one of us is a vessel in the making for He is working in us and through us bringing about His eternal purposes by His Spirit.
We are at different levels in the making to be fishers of men. This is basic requirement for the Lord is not willing that any should perish because the ultimate price to rescue the perishing has been paid.
Everything happens to us for a purpose in shaping us to be the vessels He wants to use.
He takes us through the school of experience: trials, persecutions, difficult times and misunderstandings, etc.

There are many people in the Bible who were chosen by God and then endured much trials and persecutions before their particular calling was fulfilled. Many are called but few are chosen for they need to be committed to God and endure to the end. Many fall by the way side, some get sidetracked and are deceived and don’t keep sound doctrine.
If the clay is not workable the Potter discards it. A branch that does not bear fruit is cut down and thrown in the fire. He that does not do the will of the Father is a worker of iniquity. A lukewarm believer is spued out of the mouth of God.
However, they that submit to God and do His will shall be vessels of honour.

Let us keep our eyes on the Lord, our goal and let us determine that we will endure like
good soldiers and fight the good fight of faith to the end. Allow God’s Word to govern you in obedience for He knows the end from the beginning.

David said, “….I am like a broken vessel.” Ps.31: 12

Again in Proverbs 25:s 4 we read, “Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.” Pro. 25: 4

God said that Saul of Tarus, “he is a chosen vessel unto Me, to bear My Name before the Gentiles and kings, and the children of Israel: for I will show him how great things he must suffer for My Name’s sake.” Acts 9: 15, 16.

Beloved, are you presently going through trials and difficult times with no sight in view?
If you discern that it is the work of the enemy, then submit to God and resist the devil in the Name of Jesus Christ as you stand on redemption ground. However, if you discern that thy are His billows and His waves (Ps. 42) then submit to His will and He will bring you out of it victoriously!
God always causes us to triumph for you are a vessel in the making!

Let our confidence rest on these two truths –
God IS in control, no matter what the trial or test - just believe this!
God IS at work whether we understand or not for His grace is sufficient for us - just trust Him for He sees the end from the beginning!
We shall come forth as gold for His glory.

God bless you, VESSEL IN THE MAKING!

Once we know the Great gift GOD has given us through HIS son OUR LORD JESUS, we know the true LOVE GOD has for us.Vessels and many other material stuff have to go through the hands of the Potter..He moulds the shape of the vessels for specific purposes which the market demands. Many called by the LORD have to go through fiery trials. They become more closer to GOD through these trials. May GOD Bless you and Guide you
I thank God for this message. The lord saved me while i was still a youth ,at the age of 18.I knew i had to be mentered to become what God wanted be to be.Therefore, i gave myself inthe hands of my spiritual fathers who gave me the directions inthe word of God.I was moulded and sharpened daily inthe christian fellowships, even allowed to share my christian beliefs, and the lords doing in my life.

Its healthy for a young believer to subject to the higher authorities for his growth. To accept corrections, rebuke and any information as long its God fearing.I admired to become a man of God,preach, pray, evangelise, and that begun to happen in my life.Elisha admired to be anointed a double portion of Elijah,Timothy as Paul and many characters inthe Bible.

Now i am raised up as a preacher because i allowed men of God into my life.God used them to make me a preacher. My prayer is that a lways when God saves people, He may lead them inthe right place, right people with a sound doctrine.

Finaly, going through wilderness for the sake of the gospel its a blessing because our faith is made strong and pure. When the outer man goes through pain, the inner man is made stronger.Wilderness is just but for a season.Nothing will be able to seperate me from the love of GOD.I have gone through, but am still strong,I am an overcomer through Jesus christ.
Praise the Lord!
That is a good testimony of following Jesus Christ in spite of trials and troubles.
So long a we love Him and follow Him, and submit to Him in all things, He will bring the right people our way to lead us, feed us and help us along life's journey. This is my strong confidence learned over a period of time -
God IS in control no matter what - I believe!
God IS at work whether I understand or not - I trust him!
What a privileve is ours to know Him, love Him and serve Him!

I will like to take a clue from the making of the vessel. Many christains failed at long run because they jumped out of God's making processing to making us a desired and useful vessel to show forth His Glory. God's making is in process that is why we need to pass through the school of obedience as Jesus did for 18 years. We can decide which kind of vessels we want to be. God wants us to be the best "Gold". Vessels are for service and we are called into service.

Wishing you a HAPPY NEW MONTH from the shores of Nigeria.

Gabriel O.
Praise the Lord!
Yes, Gabriel you could be a vessel of "Gold" from God's point of view and He is the Potter!
He takes a personal interest in each of us and He IS at work in us and through us, whether we understand or not!
God IS in control no matter what - just believe for He never makes a mistake in all the details of our life in this world - just keep trusting Him.
I am from a third world country and learned many precious lessons in God's School of Experience over there. Trials and persecutions seemed endless and many times I could not see from His perspective and kept asking "why?" Oh, the love of God in patiently dealing with me as I continued to cling to Him and follow Him, in spite of everything. Now I see I am a vessel in the making for His glory and He is not finished with me yet!
I love Him soooooo much and with joy I look forward to the time when I shall see JESUS face to face and fall at His feet in worship for His keeping power!
I'm not worthy of the least of His mercies but it is His mercies and His Faithfulness I keep trusting to sustain me and keep me as I follow Him daily!
God bless you abundantly
