All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I did something I am ashamed of and I told somebody who is very opinionated and think's everything he believes is 100% true  told me in his opinion that

'' you have SYMBOLICALLY placed a mock imitation of Satan's ownership over the front of God's mark of ownership on the front of your soul.

Then he said, repent and seek forgiveness and you will be forgiven.

SO because I have repented and asked forgiveness, my sins are forgiven but does this so called symbolic act fall under this category of all sins forgiven, if it was a symbolic act would the symbolic act be forgiven and forgotten? ?

Yes. If you have repented you have been forgiven.

Hi, many thanks for your email

What my friend told me I had done was just his opinion but it still bugs me in a way so for a moment assume it was true, I'd like you to clarify please

1.  does a so called bad symbolic act on a person's soul get forgiven , forgotten and washed away under the same category as forgiven sins when we seek forgiveness?

2.    just to clarify you know I held the UPC barcode onto my forehead for a few seconds but I forgot to specifically mention that it was the actual barcode side inwards touching my forehead, so the actual barcode was held touching my forehead for a few seconds.

Please comment on the above ^^^^^^^^^^^^

3. And please comment on what the phrase'' reap what you sow''  means, does this still apply if we have asked for forgiveness of our sins?

Please reply with a bullet point to each question.

God Bless

You are forgiven when you sincerely ask. God grants. That is his promise. However, He makes it clear that we reap what we sow. The danger of playing with the dark ones is that we can open doors to their deceptions, and think it's just a game or just a joke. I have found that this is not so - the dark ones accept any opening you give them, whether you mean it as play or in jest.

We must take our faith seriously. For instance, even when explaining about false religions - I refuse to repeat or speak their false beliefs or statements. Words have more power than we give credit. This is why idolatries are so dangerous.

Many thanks for your email.

What I did was stupid and I will not ever do it again, just to clarify, when I held the UPC barcode to my forehead for a few seconds, it was the actual barcode side inwards touching my forehead, so the actual barcode was held touching my forehead for a few seconds.

The phrase'' we reap what we sow'' what exactly does that mean and does it still stand when we are forgiven and repent?

God Bless

Reap what you sow:

Idea being that seed produces it's own kind. Corn seed grows corn stalks, with Corn cobs. Wheat seed grows wheat grass, producing wheat for bread. Thistle seed grows thistle weed, which takes over the field and ruins the soil. There are natural consequences that result from the "kind" of sin.

Real life examples:

a) You rob a bank, but feel conviction and repent, returning the money. But you used a gun. God forgives you. But you are convicted and still go to prison for using a gun to commit a crime.

b) A married man commits adultery, but repents and breaks off the relationship and confesses to his wife. God forgives him and eventually so does his wife. But, he has a child out of wedlock with the other woman who's child has needs and for whom that man is responsible. Forever his mind and heart will either be divided between two families or he will become cruel and abandon one.

c) You go out and get drunk. As you walk home, stumble and fall - tearing your clothes and twisting your ankle. You realize it was foolish to get drunk, so you pray and confess the sin, asking for forgiveness. God forgives, but in the morning you still have a headache, torn cloths and a swollen ankle.

In this case, Mark, you are reaping regrets and fear for the treating something so foolishly. But, God forgives your foolishness. The Bible says he remembers our frame, he knows we are dust and that we have a sinful selfish and mocking heart. But, he came to rescue fools such as we are. I'm pretty certain that the bar code is not what that scripture is speaking of. In any event, you don't seem too concerned to have worshipped the anti-Christ beast or his image. (no one alive today is even certain what that is yet).

Take a deep breath. Thank God for his loving kindness. Let his peace wash over you. The Bible tells us repeatedly that Jesus calls us to have peace in ourselves. It also says "Be still and know I am God." He calls us to trust him and not to be anxious, but to take all concerns and fears to him and let him demonstrate his care for us. I don't know anything about you, but I sense that you have a lot of anxieties and you may be irreverent as a habit. I know myself and have found God to be faithful to do exactly what I just said above, when I am foolish, irreverent and anxious. I am convinced he will do the same for you.
