Is the Mark of the beast 3 in 1, the mark, the number or the name?

I notice the Bible read's anybody who receives the mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name.

In a way they sound seperate because of the ''OR'' but I'm not sure ?

I believe they are all the same 1 mark,  what do you think?

The point is "the mark", the other two are descriptive.

IE: anybody who receives the the mark, (either in the name of the beast or the number of his name)...

So if a person takes the mark of the beast they have taken his number and name also ( or number or name) by receiving the mark?

So a person cannot receive the name of the beast nor it's number without first taking the mark?

am I right?

God Bless

Not exactly. You can't interpret everything literally. Taking the mark of the beast isn't just some symbol placed on you. It's like a woman who marries. She takes on his name to symbolize that marriage. She wears a ring so others know she's taken. She has a piece of paper as proof.

The mark of the beast is symbolic. God is not unjust. If someone serves God and loves Him but is held down against his will and given some sort of mark on his body, God is not concerned with that. God weighs the heart. We are sealed by Christ with a mark...the mark of the Holy Spirit. The mark of the beast is likely a similar type of mark...a spiritual mark rather than physical.

What I meant by descriptive is, the mark is the thing you're not to take...whether you take it in the form of a number or the name of the beast. But either way you take it, it shows you've chosen the anti-Christ. You chose the side you're on, whom you will serve. The mark is something that says you belong to the anti-Christ. Your heart is his. The mark of a Christian, the Holy Spirit, testifies of your heart and right standing with God.

The only reason one should fear taking the mark of the beast is because they know they don't want to follow Christ.
