All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

While browsing the internet I came across some sites where people claim that it is alright to be gay because God created them that way and that they were born gay.I felt troubled and went to a site to ask this question"why do people blame God for being gay".The response I got made sad and I felt guilty.I feel like I have sinned for asking that question.

Hi Ebunoluwa,

Welcome to AAG.  I have a few thoughts.

1) Whenever you feel that you have hurt someone by something you have said, apologize.  It's really as simple as that.

2) Most people will find ways to justify and make excuses for their sin.

3) We're all born into sin.  The specific sins will differ from person to person, but sin exists in each one of us at the point of physical birth.

4) As born again believers, we're new Creations.  Our sin identity has been renewed and replaced with the identity of Christ.  The old has gone, the new has come.

I don't see your question as 'sinning', it's just a question.  You need to examine the condition of your heart as to why you asked the question.  It's the WHY behind the question that could cause it to be sin.

I have heard of missionaries in the world who travel to certain isolated areas for the purpose of sharing the gospel and reaching the hearts of people who are lost.  These missionaries sometimes enter into isolated areas where practices such as cannibalism are common, and as strangers, they would be murdered just because they get too close to the tribe.  However, because God has sent them, they have His protection.  They spend time getting to know the tribe....sometimes it's years before they can gain the trust of the tribe members in order to share the gospel.  They show God's Love and Mercy.  They travel in peace filled with the Holy Spirit.  They go there because they know for certain that God has told them to.

When you speak to all people, keep these things in mind:

We Are God’s Ambassadors

2 Corinthians 5

11Because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to persuade others. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too. 12Are we commending ourselves to you again? No, we are giving you a reason to be proud of us,b so you can answer those who brag about having a spectacular ministry rather than having a sincere heart. 13If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. 14Either way, Christ’s love controls us.c Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.d 15He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.

16So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! 17This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

18And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 21For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,e so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Blessings, Carla

Thank you Carla

You're welcome Ebunoluwa.

Remember Ephesians Chapter 6.  Clothe yourself with God's armor.  We're in a spiritual battle.
