All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Isnt Electronics wonderful? look at all the apps....hmmmmm Kids all want these things and parents  cant stand to hear them beg and beg for a phone like thier friends have.....problem: since thier introduction  to the public lives have been changed some for the good and unfortunatly alot for the bad....these phones are being used by kids to sext while in school....remember the days when you  could supervise your kids while they were on the computer?...well you cant be with them 24/7 and you may not even know who they have been communicating with  or what web sites they may have visited that could be potentially dangerous to them....it think this introduction to such devices is another attack on children by our enemy to lure them away from supervision, open a whole world  to them that they in no wise ready to explore.....kids have died from texting while driving...they just cant  resist talking to friends.....mostly  at the wrong  time....Just as an expieriment....when a child comes out a building whats the first thing they do??...............They look at thier phone....like its going to give them thier next instructions...too much technology too soon is not healthy for  kids....they cant study or pay attention with out the phone being glued to thier little hands....its the beggining of the end...phone companies dont care about your child!! they love  the fact that you cant say no. If you take away the phones, youle get more attentive children, they will also learn to be productive, no job in the world has employees staring at thier phones all day....so whats that say about this generation?

It says they will be ignorant, cant stand to be told what to do, they will jobless.....dependant upon parents for the rest of thier lives...always looking for a hand out....or as our president said you know about that entitlement check....entitlment to what???......Ive worked  for 45 years in different places and situations till I couldnt  anymore...and I feel guilty....I recieve SSD and am on social security, and after Dec 1 I can reapply for my Veterans Disability Pension, and oh y es I feel guilty....now I have more time....but its going so fast like the speed on the earths spin is faster now then it was back then...night and day  pass so quickly, weeks, months, years pass so quickly...kids grow up so quick and with  electronics they are getting too much info and videos good and evil ones....but will they be ready for life on thier own??......I pray this thing doesnt destroy families, the rage to have a tablet,or an I-phone at such young ages what the heck are these parents thinking?????. You decide.

Good, bad or indifferent: It really depends on our motivations and how we use the tools and devices (from the most primitive and simple to the most complex and technologically advanced) we have developed with the ingenuity given to us by God.

Technology is advancing rapidly in the 21 century, at a robust clip never before seen in the history of humanity.  It can be used both to accomplish great good and great harm (the latter sometimes the result of unintended consequences).  It can be (and often is) a curse, a blessing, or both (in varying degrees).  On the plus side, many computer software programs and smarthphone applications have been developed and websites created that have made the Bible more accessible to the world than ever before.  AAG ("the Net") being a prime example of how technology can be used to further the sharing of the gospel and enable fellowship among Christ followers around the world.
We can become over-reliant on technological gadgets or fixated on them, such that it becomes unhealthy--whether it's hours of watching daily TV watching, playing computer games, updating Facebook pages, etc.  The things of this world are fleeting and leave us wanting.  To the extent that we allow ourselves to become focused on and attached to worldly things, we lose sight of what is most important, truly real and lasting, and incalculably precious: eternal life in Christ.
To put things into perspective: In much of Europe, the U.S. and Canada, we have the luxury of debating over consumer electronics and luxury items while billions in the world are struggling on a few dollars a day (or less) to eke out an existence.  Even in our own nation, there are millions of people for whom life is a daily struggle for survival, of finding the food, clothing, shelter and medical needed to get by from day to day.  For millions more, life is a struggle of living from paycheck to paycheck, coping with debt and upside-down mortgages, and of not being able to save for the future.
