Getting people to get saved is Gods first priority.....and the way to get saved is so simple that even a twelve year old would understand if he or she wanted to....

When is your spirit born again?

You are saved by covenant promise and at the moment you confess your belief to another person, you can (if you are paying attention) feel your spirit become born again. The feeling is a very faint shock, like a spark of electricity that goes through you. This is because you are a "spirit being" and this conversion of your spirit is realWhen I asked God about this He said, "Light cannot enter darkness unnoticed." You are a "spirit being" and Jesus said we were not to marvel, that we must be born again, born of the spirit. . . .

John 3:5 - 7

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

First John 4:15 says:

1 John 4:15
Whosoever shall confess (declare, announce) that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

This scripture reveals when your spirit is born again. It is at your confession (declaration of belief to another person) and this is the only way it happens! If it is a person who can not hear or talk, it can be written, verbal, and/or done by a squeeze of a hand. You can say (written or verbally), "Squeeze my hand three times if you believe Jesus is the Son of God and God raised Him from the dead. Squeeze my hand twice if you don't." Simple! Your belief must be established to another person in the earth to work God's covenant and have your spirit reborn by God. The following two testimonies verify when your spirit is born again.

God openly demonstrates when your spirit is born again!

The Lord sent me to a church where God had been telling the pastor there was something wrong with the salvation process. The day the pastor revealed this to me I knew it was my cue to teach him what God had taught me. When I was through sharing with him I was moved to say , "The Lord will demonstrate to you what I have taught you."
This pastor and wife seemed to understand how the covenant promise worked. They started drawing a profession of faith out of people every time they had a chance. They would do it over the phone, even with people they had thought were previously saved. The church started to grow. The Lord was adding but I'm not sure we were aware of why at the time.
The day of the Lord's demonstration that He had promised came sooner than I expected. I didn't have any idea how the Lord was going to demonstrate until it happened before our eyes. The pastor taught that day on getting a vision for your life and asked those who wanted one to come forward for ministry. Two horizontal lines formed in front of the pulpit, one behind the other.
The pastor started to minister to the first person when he saw a particular young lady in the back line who had never been there before. He stopped and asked her to step forward. She did. He said, "I just want to ask you a question. Do you believe Jesus died for your sins and God raised Him from the dead?"
    She said, "Yes."
He said, "That's all I wanted." She stepped back into the line as the pastor continued to minister to those in the front line. This girl started crying and was really crying hard by the time the minister got to her in the back row. She said that she just didn't know what was wrong and that she never cries. We were all looking at a person who never cries, crying just because she had answered a simple question. All of us who really understood the mechanics of salvation knew why she was crying. Her spirit had become born again. Her spirit was a new creation, but her soul didn't understand what had happened. I was stunned that the Lord had demonstrated it so openly in church.
God had demonstrated how simple it is. Those who understood easily saw what had happened but those who didn't really understand in their soul missed what actually happened.

Sorry, God does not need or require that we have to confess to another human in order to be saved, but rather because we are saved we will testify to others regarding the Lord. What of the person dying in a hospital room all alone. They heard the gospel at some point in their life and are ready to respond, but according to you it would be to no avail since no one is there to hear the confession.

You cannot build a doctrine off of one verse, but doctrine must be found in Scripture.

1 John 4:15 does not say to whom we should confess. Are we called to confess to man or to God. It is to God we are called and to God we are saved.

Other Scripture to consider:

Joh 1:12-13 KJV But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (13) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Act 16:30-31 KJV And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? (31) And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

1Jn 3:23 KJV And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1Jn 5:13 KJV These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

LT, how then do you explain the instruction in Matt 10:32 and Luke 12:8?  We are commanded to confess our belief in Jesus before others.  If we do not, He will not claim us before the Father.  That, to me, means that we will not be saved if we do not publicly profess our belief in Jesus as the Christ.

He does not need us to confess 'in order' to be saved was the statement. Salvation isn't about anything we do. It's what Christ has done for us. LT continues to say once we are saved, we will Then confess it or in his words 'testify' to others. He wasn't going against these Scriptures but was saying that you don't have to confess to anyone to be saved. Also Verse 33 of Matthew 10 says if you deny Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. As we know, Peter denied Christ but this one time denial didn't cast him from the Savior's presence so it isn't a one-time thing. It's a life living presence. Do you confess Him in your daily living? Do you share Him with others? It's a lifestyle because we also know that many will say to Him Lord Lord & He will say I knew you not. So it's not this 'confession' per say. It's the lifestyle more so.

If it were the case that we did not need to do anything to be saved, then everyone would be saved.  Christ came to die for the sins of everyone (John 1:29, John 3:16, 1 Tim 4:10, 1 John 2:2).  That being the case, there must be something that some do that makes them saved that other people do not do which leaves them lost.  We know this because at Judgement Christ will separate the sheep from the goats, and the sheep will enter Heaven while the goats will go to Hell.

I agree with you that confessing Christ must be a lifelong action.  It is not a one time thing.  But confessing Him must come before salvation because we read in Rom 10:10 that with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  This means that confession (at least the first time) must come before salvation is attained.

What does a mute person do then?

It's the acceptance that you're speaking of, not speaking it. A deaf person would be in a bad place in this case. We can add NOTHING to our salvation. To think we can diminishes His grace & can swell the head of man.

I have several friends who are deaf/mute.  Their mouth (method of communication) is their hands.

Nothing we do can add to what Christ has done.  Him shedding His Blood on the Cross is the only thing that can cleanse our sins.  But you are wrong that we don't have to do anything ourselves to receive the benefit of that sacrifice.  We must obey Him.  We must do the acts that He says lead to salvation.  There are several of them.  Some people only accept a couple of them, some don't accept that there are any.  But we must hear the Word, believe that it is the truth, confess that Jesus is the Christ, repent of our sins, and be baptized for the remission of our sins in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

OK. I'll leave you with that. Some enjoy this type of involvement but for me, it doesn't float my boat. Have a blessed day.

Your salvation is not dependent on your confession as you word it, but rather because you are born again you will desire to confess Him before others. This is the same old argument. One does not do in order to be saved, one does because they are saved ... If you cannot confess Him from a regenerated heart you are not saved ...

Also, Matthew 10:32 is being taken out of context in this instance. Afterthought.....

First, I want to say I admire your zeal.

But I think that it's difficult to really know or to pinpoint the moment when new birth takes place within a person. I know that Billy Graham would always ask people to come forward at the end of the meeting during his crusades, and his reasons for doing so, by his own statements, were because he believed people must take a definite step to confess Jesus publicly. Here is an excerpt from an article by Graham called,
Finding God in a Time of Need:

We ask people to make a public confession of Christ in our meetings because Christ demanded a definite commitment. Christ had reasons for demanding that people openly follow Him. He knew that an unwitnessed vow is no vow at all. Until you have surrendered to Christ by a definite act of your will, you are not a Christian. Have you taken this definite step? The Bible says, “As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12).

For years I believed there were certain steps that one must take in order to be saved. Those steps included believing, repenting, confessing, and being baptized into Christ, as well as living faithfully according to His Word, lifelong. Only the one who endures in faith will be saved. Yet, when does new birth actually take place? Is it after believing and repenting? Repentance, after all, is a change of mind that is of supernatural origin. So is belief. In fact, Holy Spirit does all the work, that is, does all of it up to the point of the decision to receive Christ, but then Holy Spirit imparts the new birth after the person receives Christ. So the question is when is that decision really made by the person? Is it made after a person does what's mentioned in Romans 10:9 or after a person does what's in Acts 2:38? I suppose we could pull out several more verses, too, and ask if they lead to new birth (as in, cause it).

It's probably an experience that is as unique for each individual as was being physically born.

I'm also sure people can "go through the motions" but never really experience new birth. They can publicly confess. They can submit to immersion baptism. They can live moral lives. They can be completely convinced that they have "obeyed the gospel" and are "walking in the light" but be mistaken. It's pretty scary, huh?
