How can I know if I grieved Him? What's that even mean?

since if you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour the Holy Spirit now dwells in you, I think you can tell when you have grieved the Holy Spirit because you will feel an inner conviction of sin, which leads you to repentance and confess to the Lord your sin and accept His forgiveness by faith in His Word.

Little Sister do not allow the enemy to whisper any of it's lies, that it tries to tell almost all at one time or another.  This is something only a Mature Christian, who is seasoned with the Holy Spirit can do.  In short, when someone has had a True and Strong Relationship with Holy Spirit.  Then they proclaim that Holy Spirit DOES NOT EXIST!!  It cannot happen by accident.  Once you have done this, you would have No desire to repent.  You would No longer Care.  Again, only a Mature Christian who has had a clear connection with Holy Ghost.  Then turns their back and denies Holy Spirit is even real.

Little Sister You Have Not Done This.  I say this with full confidence.

Love ya be at Peace

do you mean only a matured Christian can grieve the Holy Spirit?

Jenny

Yes, that is what I am saying.  Holy Spirit is the vehicle that the Father uses to convict us of sin.     Heb 6:4-6  For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

The enemy loves the opportunity for young Christians to "think" they fall to this sin.  However, you must have, " who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come.."  This takes time and maturity, then to turn one's back and deny His existence.  All of these things take time and have a very deep meaning.  Lord Bless

Thanks for this clarification.

It's a great thing to know I have a long way to go, so much to learn, and look forward to tasting "the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come"

Brother, is two years still considered a young Christian (this Tues. May 29th will mark exactly two years since He saved me, praise God!)

Brother, I don't even know what that means on the scripture you said" who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come.."

Sister

You just proved you have not.  God has given us Grace, which COVERS so many things.  He is not into technicalities.  No, to cross that line is a knowing that you have turned your back.  Let me explain it this way.  You tell me you know longer believe in doors.  I put you in a room and close the door.  You cannot get out of the room.  I do even have to lock the door.  Because, you do not believe in doors.  The true sadness is you still see and know how to use the door.  You no longer care to.  So you are trapped.  Does that sound like anything you have done?  If not, your cool.

I'm not sure about the door connection brother. My life is like painting myself into a corner. I painted it knownly but was reluctent, not wanting to...I know it makes not much sence. This is a very complicated situation.

What about Hebrews 10:26 since we're on a similar topic? i knownly commit the sin but I don't want to commit it. Yes, I know it's confusing...
