Hi Farah,

This verse comes to mind in Philippians 2:

5Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

another version translates verse 6 like this:

6"Though he was God,a

he did not think of equality with God

as something to cling to."

The trinity is a biblical doctrine..  One God existing in three persons..  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  They are equal, with different responsibilities (for lack of a better word).  They are all God, but yet there is One God.

Father is God

Jesus is God

Holy Spirit is God

John 1

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcomea it.

Colossians 1

The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

It's incredible to ponder on the truth that God Himself became a human being to relate to us personally, to understand our struggles, to live a human life, overcome the sin on our behalf, and die in a way that can be perceived as weakness, but only to raise again back to life in Victory... All Glory to God because it is Him who has done it.  Truly Amazing.  God is with us...and not only is He with us, but HE came to us.. HE was the One who did the seeking in the first place because He loves us.
