Lashana,

Born again Christians are new Creations.  The old has gone, the new has come.  We are all works in progress, and God is not finished with any one of us yet... however...

God gives us new desires with a new heart to live to please Him.  We haven't attained a sinless life yet, but is it wise to place something before ourselves in the way of temptation?  Should a recovered alcoholic have a drink?

As we're abiding In Christ desires for anything that may take us away from Him or be displeasing to Him will become less frequent.

I suggest this to you as food for thought;

If you are asking if it's okay...than you likely already know that it is not.

Have you prayed about it?

Blessings, Carla

Amen!

Lashana -

Do you know if you are born again? Do you know if you are a child of God? Everyone that has ever lived is a creation of God, but to be a child of God there has to be a born again experience with God. An experience that may come about subtlety or as a monumental time in your life. However God chooses to save a person, with a quiet and subtle salvation or with a bang, the outcome is a changed heart. A repentant heart.

I am asking you because the things which you asked about ( and let me say that we are blessed to have you here and thankful for the opportunity to answer), are things that the Holy Spirit guides us and convict us over.

I am not trying to embarrass you or anything like that, but we all should have assurance of our salvation and if you don't, then you should seek to settle that question first, if not Christianity is just a bunch of do's and don'ts' and that is a yoke none of us want.
