How do I deal with disastrous hurts on a daily basis?
Our sister Suzi asked a very important question which I believe is worthy of a discussion since it deals with the theme of this group. I hope many will jump in and share their insights; I will give my biblical opinion about it in a bit.
Susi said:
O.k. here is my thing. I am saved and Spirit Filled. I was engaged to the most wonderful man in the world. I did not know it was truly possible to be in love with someone that much. We were engaged for 2 1/2 years and on 2/27/10 at 4pm I watched him take his last breath due to Melanoma cancer and go be with the Lord. Now That has set off anxiety I did not know possible and now I have been diagnosed eith a Bengin Esstential Tremor (no Cure) can control with medication. My dog of 12 years who loved my fiancé & is my therapy dog is about to go over the Rainbow Bridge and my father is on Oxygen and has 21% lung capacity. And I am on partial disability and only getting paid 60% when I am off. My friends & and I joke that I would make a great shaken martini. I know the Lord is my best friend and He is my Father, but how do I deal with these disastrous hurts on a daily basis? I try my hardest to keep a positive attitude and keep the laughs coming, but I get down and want to stick my head it in sand & never come out. Suggestions please?????

This life is not it, is not the end of our existence. God will remind us time and time again to store treasures for the next permanent stage of our lives in Christ. For now we should concentrate in kingdom business and storing treasure for the next. Whatever we do not get to enjoy here such as kids and a mate, we will have on the new earth and the new heavens. We will be so amazed of how much we missed serving Christ on this life when we are dressed in our glorified bodies. This is only for a little while and we can rejoice and have peace that goes beyond human understanding here as well. I will share how next.
I love the ability and empowerment God gives us through the working of the Holy Spirit to REJOICE THROUGH IT ALL. One of the most beautiful things of Christianity to me is how we can have peace while things are falling apart, Joy thru it all and no fear even through the valley of death. Is what I just said truly possible in a consistent basis. Yes, of Course. All things are possible for us who love God.

I can't say I know what your Susi is going through because I have not been through that but when I feel like giving up or just completely lost this song really helps me feel better knowing that we will all be with the Lord soon.
