All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

A breakthrough prayer is one that demands an answer in the face of all odds and when all outside signs are against that prayer. A breakthrough prayer doesn't give up. It persist and insists in the face of contradictory evidences.

James 5:17 - 18

Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain,  and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed and the heaven gave rains and the earth produce its crop..

To begin with,  just take a look, Elijah was not a special person.

He was not any different from of lall of us in that he was subject to like passions.

He had his fair share of weaknesses. But he rose above and prayed to God. he did not let his weaknesses control him.we all have weaknesses, but how do we deal with it? Do we allow these to control us or do we give it to God?

We too can rise above such things and pray believing that what we are praying will definitely happen in our lives.

and as we pray how do we look at things? Do we listen to the wrong voices?

Elijah saw the answer by faith while the sky was still brassy.

There was absolutely no indication that the condition and the situation would change.

The weather was unyielding, but Elijah already heard the sound of abundance of rains in his spirit..

He did not give up.. he was not carried away by what he sees in his own natural eyes..

bu then he prayed earnestly..

He was believing God for the impossible.

He didn't take no for and answer..

That's the reason why he keeps on sending his servant..

even if the servant  keeps reporting and saying. I SEE NOTHING..

but he did not stop from there.. over and over. he keep sending his servant.. Elijah persisted in prayer until he got the breakthrough.

How is our prayer life going on? Is it persisting or going down? do we easily give up? when we see nothing?

A questions to ponder.. God bless you :)
