Beware of fake Preachers/Prophets/Priests

Many people who are called a pastor do not really understand what the word of God really says. These people called themselves a pastor or  a preacher or  a priest  but they do not have a good understanding of the word of God which is the holy scriptures .They do not have a deep understanding of the necessity of holiness in pastoral work. Some were just ordained based on their education, wealth, social status, generosity to the church, and their age in church service.

Their internal and external characters were not taken into consideration. Their understanding of the word of God usually based on how they have been taught in their church or seminary not about what the bible really says. These people cannot use spiritual eyes to read and understanding what the bible really says except how they have been taught by their mentor.

 So, if their mentor only teach them about prosperity, sign and wonder without holiness, they will also do the same whenever they, too, become a preacher or priest. Hosea 4:6my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children.

Many people who call themselves pastors or priests have some hidden agenda. The agenda of some people is to get riches, to make a business in the name of God, fame, honor, religious titles,  etc. That is why they teach people what they want to hear in order to fulfill their agenda of getting rich. They use the message of prosperity to lure people into their church, and their evangelism was just to increase the number of tithe payers.

 No wonder some preachers are keeping billions of in their personal accounts while some have different kinds of luxurious cars, rich houses, etc. They go out to tell people to come to their church under the disguise of winning souls, but there is to increase the number of people that will be pay tithes, offerings, donations etc. They invite worldly musicians, comedians, actors, etc into their church in order to entertain their members so that they will keep coming to the church. They associate themselves with politicians, rich businessman, rich worldly musicians etc without showing them the way of salvation.

They even go to their house to pray without the message of repentance. How do we expect them to emphasize on holy living since their inner motive is to get riches, famous, honor, Enjoying vain religious titles in society. Philippians 3:19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is set on earthly things.

Some preachers are luring many people with their gimmicks of church planting, retreats, revival conferences.   

Isaiah 9:16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed. Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for everyone is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. many churches have come up with various pragmatic, man-centered, entertainment-style programs designed to lure people into church, baiting the hook with promises of fun and excitement with spectacular worldly events. Many professed carnal religious people are collecting registration fee for such retreats, confererances.

Some Pharisaical, legalists who erroneously believe that entertainment is very much required to attract children and others in order to learn about God and salvation. They are the wolves in sheep’s clothing justifying the wholly destructive nature. Sin, salvation, death, hell, Gods wrath, judgment,is not fun and amusing. During Jesus time, we see that Jesus nor his disciples or apostles pressured the people to give money in any form. God said to give the money to the needy not greedy. 

Many churches sell their materials with their selling gimmicks in the name of God, charity and blessings in order to make money for their organization.

These people have turned the House of God into a place of greed, gluttony, merchandising, fraud, and a den of thieves and robbers. Jesus was Poor. Jesus never had any luxurious stuff like modern-day preachers. Jesus himself cared for those in need by feeding the hungry. Crowds of four thousand (Mark 8:1–13) and five thousand (Mark 6:30–44) had assembled to listen to Jesus. They soon became hungry. When his disciples suggested that Jesus send the people away to buy food, he responded by saying ‘I have compassion on these people…’ and ‘you give them something to eat.’ He proceeded to perform miracles to feed these large crowds of hungry people.

Here is what the scriptures says:

How terrible it will be for you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites………..you are so full of greed and self-indulgence( Matt 23:25).

‘Beware of these teachers of religious law! For they love to parade in flowing robes and to have everyone bow to them as they walk in the market places. And how they love the seats of honor in the synagogues and at banquets. But they shamelessly cheat widows out of their property, and then to cover up the kind of people they really are, they make long prayers in public. Because of this, their punishment will be the greater (Mark 12:38–40).

2 Peter 2–3 says “Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of them, Christ and his true way will be slandered. In their greed they will make up clever lies to get hold of your money. But God condemned them long ago, and their destruction is on the way.’

Jesus did not need artistic talent, money, musical appeal, and fancy self-centered words, worldliness to reach people and save them. He used the word of God and lived a sinless Holy life full of clear examples of sacrifice, humility and true love for others.
