Jesus Needs Us

As I was sitting quietly in my living room last night

Praising God for who he is something did not feel right

I sensed there was a battle raging out of control

Between angels and demons fighting for lost souls

Then the Lord opened my eyes and I could clearly see

He was pleading with the Father for souls to be set free

Then he started crying and I could feel his pain

His heart was clearly broken as his tears flowed like rain

I said Lord it really hurts me to see you torn this way

I was at a loss for words then soon I heard him say

I wish my children would wake up for soon I will return

Although his heart was filled with love his words were very stern

He said I don't want anyone to perish in their sins

I long for them to trust me and give them peace within

But I need you to help me go out and spread the word

That I died and rose again for those who have not heard

When the Father tells me to go redeem my own

No doubt it will be horrible for those who've never known

Please don't let that happen I need you to be my voice

To tell them I'm the only way but it will be their choice

There's an urgency about this every person needs to know

But it's up to everyone to choose the path they want to go
