The Bible is fiction

This is heartbreaking and shocking.  First of all I'm surprised that Costco even sells the Bible.  I've never even seen a book by a Christian author at Costco. 

We shouldn't be surprised that the secular world would label God's Word as fiction.  They are in rebellion from God and every action such as this one only proves the authenticity of the scriptures and the validity  of the sinful human nature running away from Him and even lashing out.  We need to pray that their eyes will be opened.

It's not a small thing, but it's not too big for God.  I'm praying about whether or not I want to shop there now.  I'm going to look for bibles the next time I go.

I tend to disagree with the idea that labeling the Holy Scriptures as fiction is "one of those little things" we (as Christians) ought not sweat about. The enemy has worked at great lengths to minimize the reverence the Western Church has for the Holiness of God, the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the veracity of the Holy Scriptures. Everything, and I mean everything hinges on the veracity or in other words truthfulness and accuracy of the Scripture.  Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!!  When we couple this fact with the understanding that In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, the Word was God, I think we have a very strong argument that we as Christians ought to handle and revere the Scripture with Holy Fear!  All the other ills in society are a direct result of man's rebellion against the Lord our God and His commandments as they are set forth in Scripture.
