This is so wonderful.
I HIGHLY recommend it I found this sample on biblica.com and instantly fell in love with it. And then ran up to Mardel Christian Bookstore and got my copy. and I already love it. It is a dramatized version of Matthew, following word for word the NIV translation. It is Matthew telling the story as his secretaries are writing it down. This makes me love Jesus so much more, because the actor protrays Jesus in such a moving way. You will notice in the lower right hand of the screen, it shows you where you are in Scripture. So far I've seen they did it for Matthew, John and Acts. The store didn't have John but I got Acts as well as Matthew. This is called "The Visual Bible". Beautiful and well done. It makes me want to be a better and more faithful Christian. You NEED to get this. It's better than any Hollywood movie.

This is a follow up. I watched the whole thing. It is on 2 DVD's. I cried through alot of it. At the part when John the Baptist was in the water, and the camera shows you Jesus coming. And then back to John, he senses the presense and turns around, and says the line. But Jesus answers, that it must be done to fulfill all righteousness, the sweetness in him was so overwhelming, that I CRIED at the baptism and when he raised from the water. All in all, I loved this and so glad I bought it. It brings the Gospel to so much life. Listening and watching Jesus teach (by way of the wonderful performance of Bruce Marchiano [and from Richard Kiley as Matthew telling the story] ) I heard and understood more than ever before. So much of the Scripture makes more sense. And then when they came to arrest Jesus, and the part when Peter denies, I cried with him. Of course, Matthew skims through the crucifition part, but then I couldn't help worship the Lord when He appears to Mary and the other Mary.This has really had an effect on me. I seriously recommend you find this. Oh, you will despise the Pharasees!! Now I start "Acts".
