A philosophy professor stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about 2″ in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He then asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "Yes." "Now," said the professor, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The rocks are the important things - your Church, your Ministry, your family, your partner, your health, your children - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter - like your job, your house, your car. The sand is everything else, the small stuff." "If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued "there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pray everyday to God, give thanks for what He has done, Love every one and Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take your partner out. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house and give a dinner. Take care of the rocks first - the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and
Renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10
Make a new heart in me, My God! Create it out of Your Pureness! (2 Cor. 5:17) Make my heart brand new so that it is totally pure and without anything bad. Dear God, make a new and faithful spirit inside of me. Give me Your Holy Spirit that I may be faithful to you in all things!! (John 3:1-21) Have my heart stick to you no matter what comes my way!!
I Lucas Barrows fellow AAG.NETworker would love to say, God bless you all for 2009 and I pray that all of your Ministries and Missions go off well in the eyes of our Great King Jesus.
I love you all my family in Christ
God bless.

My friend
How are you? Keep trusting the Lord. He is with you always. Isaiah 40:28-29:"Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength."
I am praying for you.

Welcome Teresa!
The opportunity to pray to God whether for our needs or the needs of others is amazing. God invites us to come boldy to Him at His throne of grace. What a place of unlimited possiblity is the point of prayer where God meets us. His Throne - the point of supreme power and His grace - where He gives unconditional favor. And we are invited to come without shyness but boldy. Praise the Lord! Hebrews 4:16:"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
God bless you.

Hi again Teresa I also just joined the Group of Christain Depression. I have suffered from depression all my life. I had a brake down when I was 16. I have been under the care of a psychiatrist and on all kinds of medication. I recently came off the medicaation on my own, with God's help. I was always told I would have to be hospitalized to come off the medication, but I knew God would not let me die. So I somewhat slowly took myself off the medication. This past week I have been very depressed. But today I feel better. I know people are praying for me all over with AAG. And my church . I am pentecostal; Church of God. And I know where my salvation and healling is, in God. Praise God. I am also married to an unbelliever, But he's coming around. Keep praying for us.

Hi Teresa, I'm glad you joined the Health and Healing Group. I also just joined. God has certainly moved in my life lately. I say my body is a healing in process. God healed me of copd and asthma. in Aug. 2008 and on Oct 23, 2008 he healed my hearing. I had worn hearing aids most of my liife. Evan as a teenager. It was hard. But now that's over. Praise God. I am in a wheelchair, from a back enjury back in 1991. I am in a lot of pain. But I know God will continue to heal me. I have the Faith.
