Hi Carla and Paige,

Thank u so much for your words of inspiration and love. I feel much better that I'm not alone in this. I'm trying to read the bible everyday and some other Christian books.
I hope that one day I am at a place where I'm confident in my faith and salvation.

Paige, you mentioned that, "how can I be saved if I still feel this way." and that is exactly how I feel. Then I think to my self, well maybe I'm not and I ask God to come in to my heart again, and again, and again. But it's very comforting to know that I'm not alone.

Thank you both again for taking the time and responding back to me.

God Bless you both!

Hello Luiza!!!
Welcome! How are you?
Im Paige, another moderator here on theNet. I see that you already have good friends, and you just got here!!! What a blessing right? You willlove it here. This place has been a total God send for me. It is a great place to come to be encouraged, supported, and loved while you walk in Him and with Him daily. I tell you I need it 24/7!!!
I am a child of the High God. and so are you. I see that its hard for yu to "feel" that you are saved, well guess what, ME TOO. But as I have read over and over and heard over an over that our feelings dont matter. God is holy and when He promiises that those who come to Him are free, and "Free indeed". Its that simple that when we come to Christ, He says "It is Finished!". God cannot change His mind on us. he died for us "once and for all".
I know all this is hard to believe but we must my dear. Believe me that when I "think " that I have it all together and i totally know God, and what He is doing, I miserably fail when He humbles me. He doesnt want us proud and lofty in Him. He wants us to lean on Him, to hang on to His garment in faith. "if we have faith as little as a mustard seed, we can move mountains" Jesus said. That doesnt mean we can literally "move mountains from the earth". What it means is that we can destroy those negative "feelings" and emotions that destoy us an all the peace we can have in HIm. Make sense?
Feelings cannot be trusted. We are "finite" individuals. Christ in infinate. We are limited in our abilities, but God is holy and is not limited at all. Its too hard to comprehend, but Hes God right? God is holy and blameless. He cannot look upon sine. But He can lovingly look at you now becaus eHe can see Jesus!!! I know, its wierd, but its Truth. "Truth will set you free"!!!!!
I struggle with depression, anxiety and many insecurities. I get mad at God sometimes that I still have all this. Im like you too, in the fact that how can I be saved if I still feel this way. Well, maybe He wants us to continue to hang on to Him because we cannot help ourselves through this! Make sense? He loves to humble me, let me tell you!!! But when I look back at my life and see where I was compared to where I am now, there is a total difference!!! Praise God!!
My precious sister!!! I know what you are going through. i have been a Christian since 2002, and I can tell you it has been quite a ride! God has done wonderful and miraculous things for me. I almost died, but He told me that it wasnt time yet. Christianity is no cake walk. The enemy will try harder to kill you and destroy you. So when you "feel" these feelings, you need to stop and rebuke that and cast those ugly demons away from you. They are just a bunch of annoying worms my dear!!! ha Ha.
Well Ill let you go now becasue I probably have totally drove you nuts with this note,(novel) so get back to me sister. I love to help you!!!
You are loved!!!

Hi Luiza,
I am reading a great Christian book right now. It is called 'Having a Mary Spirit--Allowing God to change us from the inside out.' It is great, I have been studying it with the bible during a book club/prayer group i attend. If you do read it, i would recommend that you study it with God's Word amongst godly friends and/or family. Read 1 chapter per week to allow yourself to really 'live it out'. Above all else...Stay in God's Word.

dear beloved sister...i feel your pain when it comes to dealing with fear. If you go to my page you can read my story with God and how He delivered me from anxiety and fear.

You are in a good place ....please continue to reach out for help from this very loving caring community.

I would just like to leave you with some scripture:
Daniel 6:10-23
10 But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.

11 The officials went together to Daniel's house and found him praying and asking for God's help.

12 So they went back to the king and reminded him about his law. "Did you not sign a law that for the next thirty days anyone who prays to anyone, divine or human--except to Your Majesty--will be thrown to the lions?" "Yes," the king replied, "that decision stands; it is a law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be revoked."

13 Then they told the king, "That man Daniel, one of the captives from Judah, is paying no attention to you or your law. He still prays to his God three times a day."

14 Hearing this, the king was very angry with himself for signing the law, and he tried to find a way to save Daniel. He spent the rest of the day looking for a way to get Daniel out of this predicament.

15 In the evening the men went together to the king and said, "Your Majesty knows that according to the law of the Medes and the Persians, no law that the king signs can be changed."

16 So at last the king gave orders for Daniel to be arrested and thrown into the den of lions. The king said to him, "May your God, whom you worship continually, rescue you."

17 A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den. The king sealed the stone with his own royal seal and the seals of his nobles, so that no one could rescue Daniel from the lions.

18 Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night fasting. He refused his usual entertainment and couldn't sleep at all that night.

19 Very early the next morning, the king hurried out to the lions' den.

20 When he got there, he called out in anguish, "Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you worship continually, able to rescue you from the lions?"

21 Daniel answered, "Long live the king!

22 My God sent his angel to shut the lions' mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty."

23 The king was overjoyed and ordered that Daniel be lifted from the den. Not a scratch was found on him because he had trusted in his God.

---long story short, Daniel continued to pray because he could not look to the king for the guidance and strength that he needed during this difficult time. Only God could provide what he really needed. Pray regularly...no matter what. Prayer is your lifeline to God.

Once again, thanks for joining TheNET. I hope you make lots of good friends here and keep growing in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord.

I look forward to seeing you around...
God Bless!
