There is a mystery in prayer and it is the mystery of being able to connect with a higher source of power to overcome the circumstances of life. Prayer is our link to the invisible force of Heaven, to the Almighty God, who is stronger than the situations confronting us. The Bible says, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
Prayer is meant for those who need help. It is calling on God for help based on the provisions He has made for us in His Word. Prayer is therefore an escape route from turbulence. If there were no need for help, God would not have created the avenue of prayer. David was a man who enjoyed God's help in all his battles and trials. You know how he got such help? He said, "I cried unto the Lord and he heard me out of His holy hill ... He delivered me out of the hands of my enemies that were too strong for me" (Psalm 3:4, 18:7).
When we feel miserable and helpless, when we have tried all we can and there still seems to be no way out, we can get connect to a higher source of help through the power of prayer. It is in prayer that we exchange our weaknesses for God's strength. Somebody said, "Our difficulties drive us into prayer and ultimately prayer drives our difficulties from us." Our difficulties move us to God and then God through our prayer drives the difficulties away from us.
When we run into God's presence for help we exchanged our pressures for the pleasures that abound in God's presence. That is the secret of living a stress free life even in the midst of turbulence, till people begin to wonder if you ever have problems.
The Holy Spirit is our Helper and it is in prayer that we receive His help. "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." (Romans 8:26). The word 'infirmities' means weaknesses, so He helps our weaknesses. He also helps us in prayer.
Prayer is like a relay race where the best and fastest runners take the last leg. In the same way, when we start the journey and begin to get weary and tired along the way, we pass the baton to the Holy Spirit to finish off the race for us. Or in a wrestling match, when your opponent is almost winning, you hand over to your partner; a stronger and better fighter who takes over from you and overcomes the opponent for you. So, when we pray, we compel heaven to open, to bear with us in our weaknesses, in order to be able to overcome the challenges of life. I see you receiving God's help today!
3. God sent His only Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins.
Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. “God demonstrates His own love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”
Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in heaven with God His Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life -- of living forever with Him in heaven if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."
God reaches out in love to you and wants you to be His child. "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name." You can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come in to your life as your Lord and Savior.
The center chapter of the BIBLE is Psalm 118.. there are 594 chapters before and after Psalm 118
And if we will add this we will get 1188... in which the center verse of the BIBLE is PSALM 118:8
What is the significant of Psalm 118:8 in God's perfect will for our lives?
It is better to trust in the LORD, than to put confidence in man.-- Psalm 118:8
When things get tough, always remember faith doesn't get you around trouble..
it gets you through it!
When you relinquish the desire to control your future you obtain happiness...

How are you doing? What is the latest? Congrats on having a new home! Isnt it awesome! We just bought our first home a year ago and we are really liking the space!! We have 2 little ones, so this is really good. I am alot like you in the fact that I always tend to look on the negative. I hate it but I do it, I know I shouldnt be griping and complaining about things. I should know better. I am happy that God has grace for us, but if I keep thinking negative like I do, my life isnt going to be anything that God wants me to have. Fear, anxiety,worry, and depression are all soo crippling, and I deal with those on a daily basis. I am alot better than I used to be, so that is a positive right there. Anyway, I know that the man will come at the appointed time. Im sure you are lonely. That is natural. Just keep in Christ, and dont waver and jump ahead of the Lord and find a man out of your own strength in your own timing. Itll never work. You are a gorgeous young lady and I have no doubt that you will have a problem finding that special someone. Its ok,girl!! God will make it happen, and when it does, youll be soo happy and will rejoice in the Lord!! I love you and keep on keepin on!!!

Hello Joy!! How are you? I have been wondering how you were for a while. Its just taken me longer to check in because I have been so crazy busy. Im sure you understand. Life gets that way to where if we dont stop, we go crazy! Thats when I can cry out to God and say "Lord! Help me!! Let thy will be done!". But knowing me, I already went against Gods will and did something stupid, so Im having to cry to Him to help me pick up the peices of my BIG mess up. So, anyway, How is your bible study going? I go to one on Tuesday nights and its good because its just a small group of women,and sometimes I really like that. Its more intimate. I try to go to worship night at another church on Fridays, but sometimes it doesnt work out because of kids,errands,husband coming home late(which bugs me.) But oh well. Im glad that you are staying in Gods will for your life and keeping close to Him and His promises. He wont fail us!!! He promised! I hold Him accountable for that!!!
Painting(murals) are doing great. This time of year there is alot of Harvest parties happening so I help them out with whatever they need as far as design, and art projects. Its cool.
