COMMENT : SHOULD WE ADMONISH EACH OTHER....?

Do we know someone who is heading for hell? Should we keep quiet because we do not want to offend that person. Or, because we LOVE Jesus and our neighbour as ourselves, do we warn each other in a gentle and yet determined way? Read the following in Hebrews 3...

12 Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. 13 But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end. 15 As it is said,

"Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion."

16 For who were those who heard and yet rebelled? Was it not all those who left Egypt led by Moses? 17 And with whom was he provoked for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did he swear that they would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? 19 So we see that they were unable to enter because of unbelief.

Take a loving risk - we must show our love for others by lovingly letting them know of blind spots. Don't be afraid of losing a friend - rather fear for losing your friend's life! This may be your child, grandchild, friend, and sadly even your parent!

I am very sensitive and have often wondered: "How can I make this warning tenderly? Take this "sensitive" case to God. Pray about it and He will give you guidance and strength to say the right words. I know it is not easy - but if "Minnie Mouse" (meaning myself) could do it - you can!

We are the ones chosen by God for the high calling of priestly work - we have been chosen, as Christ followers to be God's instruments - to do His work and to speak out for Him. We must be able to tell others of the night and day difference that Jesus has made in our lives.

We sit amongst beautiful young people - the future nation of a country - and we hear them utter four-lettered words and they use God's name in vain. Suddenly we want to be "cool" and "in" with the group and we decide not to chastise the poor young people who have come out to just relax and "hang out".

Come on - we are Ambassadors for Jesus. We are not here to be popular nor "cool". We are the present "MOSES' leading our nation out of bondage - not into bondage! Don't go to church on Sunday with a "holier than thou" face! Don't sit in the front pew pretending to be an Archangel! Be a true REPRESENTATIVE of God Almighty. We are not here on earth to be Mr or Mrs POPULAR... We have work to do! We have to save souls and build the Kingdom of God!

Object to movies where they use foul language! Object to them using God's name in vain! Object to SEX scenes! Object to VIOLENCE! This makes our children insensitive and provokes crime! Let us rather demotivate our children against crime. I prefer having a "cissy for a son than a HOOLIGAN!

I know that I am naive and gullible but I am not STUPID... I can distinguish from what is Godly and what is Ungodly. In other spheres I might not be so bright and I appreciate the assistance of my fellow Jesus Followers. Therefore, if I err, forgive me, and judge me gently. I am here on the ‘NET to learn. And, if I ever am out of line, please rap me on the knuckles! I will receive it in love and I will accept your correction as a Follower of Jesus, warning me... So, please, let us warn one another IN LOVE.

FOND LOVE TO YOU ALL IN JESUS' NAME

Hi Ramona,
I noted your comments about the "Shema'
On my Page I have Johnathan Edwards singing the Shema in Hebrew. He has a beautiful voice and does the Shema justice.

My Dear Ramona,
If I only had to write a sentence or two I would have replied in Afrikaans. But having read the post you sent me I could never do the Lord Justice by saying what is in my heart at this moment in Afrikaans, because I do not have the words to say what I feel.
Firstly I sat there reading it and tears just flowed while I read it.
Is it not wonderful how God will suddenly break through the clouds of darkness and give us a miracle?
Oh! Praise you Father for your love.
Please keep me in touch with further developments.
Is it not wonderful too, that he will be returning with evidence of what has happened to him..
I was about to say that he has received the ability to speak normally would make people listen. But I realised that, that is not so.
People will listen despite the miracle because it would be the Holy Spirit talking through him that will get them to change.
God has promised that as the time came nearer for His return, men and women would accomplish miracles.
Also we have mad it a point that even if we are in the middle of people walking in the street and we meet someone who tells of of a need they have. We have stopped saying: "We will pray for you" No! we ask the person if we may pray and we pray for him or her right there and then. When we do this, it seems
as though God blesses us all the more because we have shown that "We are not ashamed of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ" no matter who is watching.

Thank you Ramona and Bless you and your husband as you both walk steadfast in His way.
Soentjies Hoor - Ron

Sister Ramona,

I am surprised that I haven't had the pleasure of being your friend as yet...kindly take me in.

I have been to my friend Christy Gabriel's page and have been greatly encouraged by the inspirational comments you have left their for her during this trying time in her life. We believe that God will heal our sister. You must be a very loving and caring person...which are the hall-marks of a true Christian!

Continue blessing the lives of many and know that all that you do are much appreciated and that God will replenish from wherever you have depleted...and that He will fill you up in increasing measure!!

With God's blessings-Pst. Bernhard C.

The Shema : HOW DO WE DEFINE LOVE? WHAT IS LOVE..???

IN MY HUMBLE OPINION LOVE IS NOT SOMETHING THAT YOU EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU MEET THE PERSON WHOM YOU WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH: YOUR "SOUL MATE" AS WE POPULARLY CALL IT. LOVE, IN MY OPINION STARTS WITH G O D !! (JESUS) (THE TRINITY)...

One day a student came to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what is the greatest commandment?"

You might recall that Jesus included "Love God' and "Love your neighbour" in his response. Do you remember, however, that Jesus answered by quoting a portion of the "Shema" ("Shema" means "Listen" or "Hear"). Shema is found in the Torah of the Hebrew Bible (Deut. 6:4-9). Jesus' answer to the student's question begins, "Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God! The Lord alone!"(Deut. 6:4 (NIV footnote;)

In Jesus' day, reciting Shema meant renewing your relationship with God. This was done regularly, perhaps several times a day. Whenever a person recited the Shema, he celebrated God's covenant or " Promise of Grace." Shema firmly acknowledges allegiance to God alone. To recite the Shema is to whole-heartedly accept the Kingdom or Reign of God in life. Again and again and again.

When the student asked Jesus his question, he asked Jesus in the language of their culture, "Rabbi, what is your yoke": or "Rabbi, what is your interpretation of Torah?"The student wanted to know Jesus' "bottom line," HIS summary of Torah.

And so the greatest commandment is the answer to questions like, "What is the Bible all about?" "What is God all about?" "Who is the Christian, and what is he doing here?"

The greatest commandment also underlines that a loving relationship with God is absolutely essential for God's people! Loving others is meaningless if that love is not in response to a loving, covenantal relationship with Almighty God. A loving relationship with God must be set and nurtured first; only then will love for others flow out in response. IN OTHER WORDS, IF YOU DO NOT "LOVE" GOD... HOW CAN YOU LOVE YOURSELF OR OTHERS???

Life itself is all about loving God with all of every part of you in response to God's covenant of grace. And love for God is best expressed in loving others.

The Shema expresses the foundation of Christian living. Jesus obeyed and loved God, and He loved others, perfectly. If we are to be like Jesus, the desperate desire of our hearts is to do the same. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the community of faith expresses unconditional love of God through obedience and through loving others.

Finally, at a minimum, the Shema included Deuteronomy 6:4-9:

Hear, O Israel: The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them to your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.!!!NOTE : MOST IMPORTANT: IN OTHER WORDS OBEY GOD'S BIGGEST COMMANDMENT AND MOST IMPORTANT COMMANDMENT!

God desires believers to live his commandments. The intense and constant meditation on God's Word is the legacy and obvious witness of those who love God and love others. Loving God and loving others springs out of a deep passion for and commitment to the Text.

RACISM IS TOTALLY UNBIBLICAL! JESUS CAME TO TEACH US UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. WE, AS SINFUL PEOPLE WILL HAVE AN ATTITUDE OF "I WILL LOVE YOU IF.... " IF SOMEONE SHOWS YOU A KINDNESS, ACCEPT THIS IN LOVE AND, IF POSSIBLE, RETURN A FAVOUR BUT DO IT "NOT BECAUSE YOU WANT TO BE POLITE" - BUT BECAUSE YOU LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD ... AND YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF. THE JOHN DOE (HOBO) IN THE STREET IS YOUR NEIGHBOUR... HE IS A CHILD OF GOD BECAUSE GOD LOVES HIM/HER UNCONDITIONALLY.

DO NOT FROWN UPON OR LOOK DOWN UPON PEOPLE OF DIFFERENT CULTURES AND RACES. SET AN EXAMPLE OF CHRIST'S LOVE SO THAT THEY WILL DESIRE TO BE LIKE YOU.

LOVE EACH CREATION OF GOD. DO NOT WORSHIP THEIR GODS... AND DO NOT TRY TO UNDERSTAND THEIR RELIGION IF IT IS NOT THAT OF YOURS. THERE IS A GREAT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "ACCEPTANCE" AND "RESPECT".

FONDEST LOVE IN OUR ONE AND ONLY SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST

Dear Ramona; The event Fri night was incredible. Michael W. Smith sang worship music; he introduced the Compassion international group. And we all made our way around to people as they showed a video clip about the children living in the worst slums of Africa. We were able to sponsor many children and it was an extremely spiritual and uplifting night. They gave me an application to become a permanant advocate. I will pray about this hard; not only because of the great commitment; but the expect you to live the utmost for Christ. I would have to go through 2 interviews. I wonder if I am ready to go and represent the Lord in this compacitiy? I don't want to wrongly represent. I did say one thing at the event that I am not sure the Advocates wanted me to say: I told someone about the children in Africa who where orphaned, sometimes due to the AIDS epicemic. And that by supporting these children, they recieve not only educational, spiritial and financial help; but they recieve emotional support and education on prevention. The lady that was looking at the little African child's profile, decided to choose a child from another country. I was disappointed, they told me only to mention it if they ask what the little red ribbon stood for. That was the only part that disappointed me. Sweet innocent children are paying high prices for this epidemic.
I hope you are having a blessed weekend. God Bless you my dear, in Jesus Christ

Dear friend; thank you for the encouragement and kind words. I give all the credit to the Lord. I pray that every day he will bless us abundantley to walk in the way of Christ Jesus. I pray that more will come to be followers of the Lord; instead of followers of themselves. That is what I so dearly love about the people here on theNet. They are all truly following the Lord. Blessings to you my dear friend

Dear Ramona; how are you doing my dear. This Fri. I will be volunteering for Compassion to encourage others to sponsor children in poverty stricken areas of the world. For children in need of help. I love what Compassion does for these children. Not only do they assist them with nutrition and health care; but they also are enrolled in a Christ-centered school. I feel it is a way to reach out across cultures to help others learn of our beloved Lord and Jesus Christ.
I pray that the Lord is blessing you. For you are a kind soul and your Love reaches so many. In christian love; your friend in Christ

Ek is so bly jy voel beter, God gee die oorwinning!
Ya it is so sad that people get the opportunity to serve God freely and that the denied Him, use His name with disrespect and live terrible lives.... so sad, but they do not see the privilege do serve Him. We are here to pray for them for in ourselves we cannot convince them to accept Christ the Holy Spirit will work in their lives but we need to pray to prepare the ground for Father to work!
May you have a day full of love and blessings.
