Hi Maha, If you really want to get a final word on the Christian faith, I would strongly recommend "Evidence that demands a Verdict" By Josh McDowell.

On Page 174 he gives 8 prophecies that were prophesied in the Old Testament concerning Jesus Christ. There are many more but Josh simply takes 8.  The 8 that are given are chosen because it would be impossible for Jesus to have any control over them.  For instance he could not have any control over his birth in Bethlehem as predicted in the Old Testament.  He could not have controlled  the manner of his birth i.e. Born of a Virgin or his Burial or the manner of His death.  He had no control over any of these Old testament predictions, yet these 8 and over 60 similar predictions from the Old testament which were fulfilled in Jesus Christ.

Now Josh goes on to say: "For any man to fulfill only 8 of these predictions that he could not in any way manipulate, is 1 in 10 to the power of 17. (1 in10,000,000,000,000,000,00)

To understand what this means, is to take the entire State of Texas and fill it it with this amount of Silver dollars.  It would fill the state 2 feet deep.  Now take 1 silver dollar and paint it red and then hide it anywhere in that pile.  Now let a Blind man walk over the state for as long as he likes, but when he bends down the very first time, he must pick up the Red dollar.  The chance he has of doing this 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,00.

Yet Jesus not only fulfilled 8 but 60 Old testament Prophecies concerning Himself.

What Josh is really pointing out is that Christians are not accepting Christ simply because of interesting stories about him, but they accept Him for the undeniable proof that the Bible gives to prove that Jesus is the Saviour of Mankind and no one else.

Once you have read the Book, you will stop looking at any other religious claims.

Hello my friend....

Thank you for your note on my page. I am most thankful that I have Jesus in my life. I am most thankful for The Holy Spirit to lead me into all truth...combined with God's Holy Word. I am also thankful that Jesus died for me...just so that I can be reconciled to God as His Child. I am so very thankful that when I call on Him...He is right there....to walk me through the storms of my life...and strengthen me in the process, all the while teaching me and reassuring me of HIS Grace, Faithfulness and Love for me.

Please share with me...What are you thankful for? :)
Blessings, Carla

Thank you Maha for honoring me/us with your name. I am so happy to know it.
In your name I see a fellow truth seeker. Some in here feel as though they have much spiritual knowledge. But I believe truth is given to all cultures and faiths. To me the greatest truth is that the God we all serve is a loving God and wishes us to know that personally.
Maybe sometime we might further share ideas about God and how he wants us to see him? I think maybe I can learn much from you! I am not a theologian either by any means Maha. I can only testify that the God I serve loves me and that, I in my human capacity, love him. I have a story I learned when I was in school that pretty well describes why it is that we all see God a little differently. Sometime I would like to share that story with you.
In his fathomless love. Stephen

Hello only a friend,
I feel compelled to share this with you....

John 1:1-14
In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through Him,
and nothing was created except through Him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created,
and His Life brought light to everyone.
The Light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.

God sent a man, John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of His testimony. John himself was not the light, he was simply a witness to tell about the light. The One who is the true Light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
He came into the very world He created, but the world didn't recognize Him. He came to His own people, and they even rejected Him. But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. --They are reborn-not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
So the Word became human and made His home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen His Glory, the Glory of the Father's one and only Son.

My dear, you are seeking God with Your whole heart...and He is seeking you.
there is one other passage I wish to share with you from the bible.

Luke 18:18-27
Luk 18:18 Once a religious leader asked Jesus this question: "Good teacher, what should I do to get eternal life?"
Luk 18:19 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus asked him. "Only God is truly good.
Luk 18:20 But as for your question, you know the commandments: `Do not commit adultery. Do not murder. Do not steal. Do not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother.' [fn] "
Luk 18:21 The man replied, "I've obeyed all these commandments since I was a child."
Luk 18:22 "There is still one thing you lack," Jesus said. "Sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
Luk 18:23 But when the man heard this, he became sad because he was very rich.
Luk 18:24 Jesus watched him go and then said to his disciples, "How hard it is for rich people to get into the Kingdom of God!
Luk 18:25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!"
Luk 18:26 Those who heard this said, "Then who in the world can be saved?"
Luk 18:27 He replied, "What is impossible from a human perspective is possible with God."

The reason I have shared this second part of scripture with you is to point out one thing....this verse:Luk 18:23 But when the man heard this, he became sad because he was very rich. .....

What did Jesus do, after the man became sad? Well, Jesus is a perfect gentlemen....He is the Christ...Our messiah! When someone says 'no' to Him, He simply lets them go! But.....when we say 'yes'....our lives are transformed in a true re-birth which is given by God Himself!
Blessings and Love on behalf of Christ, your friend, Carla

YOU ARE ALL SONS OF GOD THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST
JESUS, FOR ALL OF YOU WHO WERE BAPTIZED INTO
CHRIST HAVE CLOTHED YOURSELF WITH CHRIST. THERE
IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, SALVE OR FREE, MALE
OR FEMALE, FOR YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST.
( GALATIANS 3:26-28 *NKJV )

Now you know why the message is addressed to God's
Children this morning! For truly those who love and
worship God are His children, FOR IN HIM WE LIVE AND
MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING. AS SOME OF YOUR
OWN POETS HAVE SAID, WE ARE HIS OFFSPRING.
( ACTS 17:28 ) Think about that the next time you are
feeling low, or are depressed and worried because of a
problem that you are facing. I'll bet that problem won't
seem so big if you do!

So friend, as a member of God's Great Family,
never feel alone and think that there is no one to turn too,
FOR HE HIMSELF HAS SAID, "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU
NOR FORSAKE YOU." SO WE MAY BOLDLY SAY "THE
LORD IS MY HELPER; I WILL NOT FEAR. WHAT CAN
MAN DO TO ME?" ( HEBREWS 13:5-6 ) Therefore He will
always be there to love you, and guide you through any
difficulty!

Now as the Prophet David wrote: FOR YOU ARE MY ROCK
AND MY FORTRESS; THEREFORE, FOR YOUR NAME'S
SAKE, LEAD ME AND GUIDE ME. ( PSALM 31:3 ) So,
TRUST IN HIM AT ALL TIMES, YOU PEOPLE; POUR OUT
YOUR HEART BEFORE HIM; GOD IS A REFUGE FOR US.
A refuge indeed! Amen. ( PSALM 62:8 )

Dear Only, I applaud your decision to research. I'm very sorry that I did not get back to you before. I have been off the site for a long time.

I use www.biblegateway.com for research in English. To get to the original languages, which can help for more clarity at times, I use books that I have obtained over many years.

I think that you may find resources in your own language(s), at the International Bible Society: at www.ibs.org

Blessings, to you and to your nation.
