It is normal Leslie to feel up and down in your walk while following the Lord Jesus Christ. Call on Him when you need help. He is only a prayer away.
To grow in the Lord you need to confess your love for the Lord and let the enemy of your soul hear you declare that Jesus Christ is your Lord because of Calvary! Everyone are born sinners and everyone needs to be born again of God's Spirit - Romans 10: 9, 10
Thank God for loving you so much that He allowed His Son Jesus Christ to suffer and die in your place so you might be forgiven all your sins and praise Him for the blood of Jesus Christ that not only makes you a child of God but the blood of Jesus Christ is your protection against every trick of the enemy to get you back into darkness and sin.
Sin separates from God and it was sin that caused Jesus all that pain and shame and agony and shedding His Holy Blood to cleanse us and make us clean on the inside! The blood of Jesus Christ breaks the power of sin and frees us from the penalty of sin. This is the reason Jesus preached, "Repent, and be baptized..." Repentance is not only being sorry for living contrary to the law of God, but it is willingness to forsake sin. Jesus Christ comes into your life and He will give you grace to follow Him daily.
Remember the woman Jesus forgave in John 8:1-12? He told her go and sin no more. Her commitment to Him and her love for Him for saving her from being stoned to death kept her from going back into her old way of life.
We can do this for Christ now lives IN us because we invited Him into our lives and when we think of what it cost Him to provide us with forgiveness.
