All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

When one step forward, two steps back is progress.
God wants us to be trusting Him.
We all have times when it appears we are getting no where fast.
The power that lives and breathes in Hope, is what we need to continue.
There was a time that Jesus taught that, His body and Blood they needed to consume.
Many turned away, Jesus turned and asked His disciples, “will you leave also?”
They answered, “where would we go Master?”
When we face what seems impossible to understand, we are asked the same question, “will you leave?” Where we we go?
Jesus is the Way and the Truth, when we slip, stop, or even turn, He is still there.
No one said this would be easy, the road is rocky and tight at places.
Yet. we are never abandoned.
Take a breath, gather yourself and pray, reach out to others, spend real time in His Word.
But please never allow the enemy or your flesh, to convince you that,
one step forward, two steps back is not progress, because it IS PROGRESS.

Diana

Thank you for those encouraging words.  They are so appreciated and I will put them to good use.

Your faith comes through your words so clearly.

Chris,

You are the only person who has ever said that two steps back is PROGRESS but you are right! It is a part of getting to that place that we are all trying to get to. It is unfortunate how infused we human beings are with negativity (present company included). However we have to do better and learn to see the glass as half full instead of half empty. Reading your blog brought tears to my eyes because I tend to feel like I make progress and then get knocked down over and over again.  Keep spreading the word of hope and positivity.  It WILL make a difference to someone out there!

The title of your blog alone seems to be the story of my life. Praise God that I no longer say "what's the use". Nowadays. I just roll my eyes and say "ok God, this is a patience thing right? This is a self control thing right? Ohhhh ok, this is a faith thing ". God knows I love Him and He also knows that I am stubborn to my faith. He probably shakes His head when I get fecicious but I know He knew what He was getting Himself into when He found me. Sooooo, we carry on or I should say He keeps carrying me! THANKYOU FATHER ! :D

Healing is a process I understand you know that well.  What I was trying to say was, we must not give up.  No matter what goes on we don't quit.  We all have our things that we deal w/.  They prepare us for another day.  We are the Body and we grow as one.  Two steps back, do not always mean the situation get worse.  Just that things come up and we have to face them.  We don't have to face them alone.  People may fail us, but Jesus will always be there.

No, to give up or quit is one thing.  To continue no matter what is something else.  I was not playing word games.  I was just saying, have faith no matter the conditions.  I get it is difficult, I also understand we can't try to live in anothers head.  Yet, no matter we can love and support each other.
