We All Could.

My thoughts and prayers for today.

“We All Could”

If my ears could hear laughter from each home,

and my eyes could see only kindness, to those who are alone.

If my arms could span the miles across this troubled land;

encircle each lost child, and bring them home again.

If my lips would always smile, and spread joy when they speak;

If my hands would bare good tidings,

to the homeless in the streets.

If my knees would bend in prayer, for my neighbor in need,

and my feet would run this race, God has sat before me.

If we’d pray for our leaders to write the laws the way they should,

Perhaps we could bring safety, throughout our neighborhoods.

If we’d join in our efforts to always do good.

One can’t do these things alone, but together,

We all could!

Comment by mae buckel on March 31, 2010 at 9:51am: It would be a wonderful thing if all God's people would agree, pray, and seek His face about revival in this country, instead of sending out all the emails on how bad things are. If we could have a revival among God's people then perhaps we could win the lost for Christ. It's going to take a mighty move of God to save this country from the evil that is constantly persuing us. So I ask everyone to spend some time in fasting and prayer for our nation and our leaders. Remember, God is the only way to turn things around. Love to all, and thanks for all your prayers. Mae

There’s a great big church upon the hillside;
Its steeple rising high into the sky,
And a little country church down in the valley,
On Sunday morning they pass each other by.

Decked in robes of bright array around the alters,
The choir sings praises to the King of Kings,
Pews are filled with Sunday’s best, they never falter.
They sing and shout until they make the heavens ring.

Meanwhile in the Ghettoes, another gang is set to go.
Another child is led astray; to what he does not know.
Another girl falls by the wayside, in this jungle of sin,
Here on these streets, where no one ever wins.

Wars are raging on; more soldiers sent to die;
Clouds of gloom deepen, and sail across the sky.
The daily News reports murder in our streets.
Another vote to keep God in, has only met defeat.

And I wonder why God’s people are divided;
Why is there not enough love to go around?
When we’re standing on the brink of His returning,
Why is it His own crowd that lets Him down?

Lost sheep in search of a Shepherd, to lead them home.
Children of the streets, frightened and alone.
Evil and despair across this land is sweeping,
How must Jesus feel, while His church is sleeping?
