All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

We must consciously choose our words and not arbitrarily say things.

We also need to take into consideration the ''slangs'' we use.

They may be popular with the world but it will bring destruction to our lives and the lives of others in the realm of the spirit.

There is power in the tongue and if we indulge it in a negative way, demonic forces hear these negative confessions and act on it.

JAMES 3-8) But the human tongue can be tamed by no man.it is a restless (undisciplined,irreconcilable)  evil, full of deadly poison.

Let's look  at these words and their meaning

Restless:  Unceasingly active; averse to quiet or inaction.

The word restless can be used in other terms, but i choose this meaning because of the topic we are studying.

Unceasingly ;

Not ceasing or stopping; continuous, an unceasing flow of criticism)

Undisciplined;

Uncontrolled, defiant, disorderly, headstrong, inconsistent,insubordinate, lacking self-control,mischievous,naughty, noncompliant, ungoverned, unrestrained, unruly, untrained, wayward.

Have you ever seen a wild animal get out of control before? So it is with our tongue, always wanting to do its own thing.

 After reading these definitions, can you see why we need the HOLY SPIRIT to control our tongue?.

The HOLY SPIRIT will not do everything for us; we will have to work with him by listening to his voice.

When he says,''shut up!'' we need to shut up, even though we feel like telling off somebody.

We have to descipline our own tongue.

The LORD will give you the strength to do it once you submit your mouth to him.

Don't be like the horse which lacks understand, which must have their mouths held with a bit and a bridle,to be controlled.

Be like sheep who hears his master's voice and follows.

(psalms 32-9) (st john 10-27)

Words are seeds, that we sow and they will bring a harvest to our lives; therfore we need to think before we speak.

The bible tells us that we are not to be rash with our mouth,but how many times do we say things and then think ''oh my GOD i wish i had not said that''?

Then it's too late because the words are aleady doing their work.

Mothers make declarations over their children; spouses speak negative words over each other.

These seeds sown will bring a harvest to our lives.

Remember;

                 Those who indulge the tongue must eat the fruit of their words, whether they are for life or death.

NUMBERS 14/28

                        Tell them, As i live, says the LORD, what you have said in my hearing i will do to you.

ST MATTHEW/12/36/37

                                But i tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every ''idle'' (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak.

For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.

PROVERBS 18/20/21

                               A man's(moral) self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied (whether good or evil).

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it (for death or life).
