All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

The LORD is waiting to be kind to you. He rises to have compassion on you. The LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him. Isaiah 30:18
We are blessed by waiting on the Lord. We trust that the Lord wants to help us. We stand at the ready. He knows what we need even before we ask. When Isaiah spoke these Words from the Lord. The attitudes of His children were as in verse 10-11 They say to the seers, 'Don't see [the future].' They say to those who have visions, 'Don't have visions that tell us what is right. Tell us what we want to hear. See illusions. Get out of our way! Stop blocking our path! Get the Holy One of Israel out of our sight.'" They wanted things on their terms and not on the terms of God. We may look at what they choose, and think we would never do anything as that. They worshiped idols, made w/ their hands, and covered them w/ silver and gold. Now I doubt any of you would do anything as that, but what about trusting in the works of your own hands, above that of God. We become so confident in what we are able to do, often we do not wait on God, for things we want. We just go get them.

Some definitions for Wait: in a state of repose, as until something expected happens
to look forward to eagerly; to be in readiness for; be reserved for
Certainly, we wait with hope for you, O LORD, [as we follow] the path of your guiding principles. We want to remember you and your name. Isaiah 26:8
O LORD, have pity on us. We wait with hope for you. Be our strength in the morning. Yes, be our savior in times of trouble. Isaiah 33:2
In both of these we see, “wait w/ hope.” We wait w/ faith, “to look forward to eagerly; to be in readiness for.” As we see in Matt 6:8 ...Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. We Pray then w/ confidence, and not according to our timetable but, in Faith to His. We are not looking to receive only what we are believing for, but also to build our faith in the Father. We can also see to wait, as one who attends to the need of another. Now I know this says, who wait w/ hope. Is it to much of a stretch if we also apply, “those that attend to the needs of the Father, and not their own, will have their strength renewed.” Instead of “worrying” which means “attending to the needs of fear.Yet, the strength of those who wait with hope in the LORD will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won't become weary. They will walk and won't grow tired. Isa 40:31 So as we wait, on the Lord. As we set our hearts and minds on Him, in Praise, Worship, and most importantly Trust. We will be in readiness for and prepared all the He has for us. Remember the enemy will slither or prowl about, want to mock our waiting. “God does not care, look how behind you are on things, etc.,” it may hiss out. The Truth is we are not just wanting to get caught up, or just be healed. We are in this for far more then that. Our Faith will increase, and the things we will believe for will become bigger and bigger. Let it be said of His Children, “They are bold in their beliefs, and sure of their cause. They are children of the Most High God. And, they Love their Dad, the Lord, and follow the Holy Spirit!”

Amen Chris, often we have a problem with  WAITING............

Thanks for reminding us once more. God's timing is perfect always! He wants to give us more than we deserve, problem is we want to jump the gun, and go one step ahead of HIM.

It also comes with a divine promise:

Those who wait with hope in the LORD will be renewed. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and won't become weary. They will walk and won't grow tired

The bibles gives us so many instances.............Thanks for sharing brother, bless you!!
