THE PATHWAY TO LIFE
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ( John 14:6 NAS )

“In Him ( Jesus ) was life, and the life was the Light of men.” ( John 1:4 )

"I ( Jesus ) am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. ( John 10:9 )

"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.” ( John 11:25 )

“And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.” ( 1 John 5:20 )

“For through Him (Jesus ) we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.” ( Ephesians 2:18 )

Jesus is saying he is the way.

As we can see through the above verses , Jesus has made a way for us to be saved from our sins.
He has provide us a way that will lead us to the Father. He has paved a road for us into a new life that is different from the way we use to live. Because Jesus is the way, we need to come to Him just as we are. This is the first step in the pathway to life.

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name.” ( John 1:12 )

Jesus is saying He is the truth.

Jesus shows that that the next step on the pathway to life is truth.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
( John 8:32 )
"So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. ( John 8:36 )

Truth is one of the greatest liberators in the universe.

I had a friend tell me recently that her daughter suffered for years because she was convinced that her father didn't love her. When she was very young her father had taken her older sister to do something with him and didn't bring her. She was hurt by this situation and the enemy ( the father of lies ) made her believe that she was not lovable, and that she had something wrong with her, and that was why her daddy didn't want to take her with him too.

It would be many years later that this women would unravel this lie that cause all kinds of emotional problems for her.

Lies when they are believed become truth to the one who believes it. This is why Jesus is the truth.
He will lead you into the truth, and The Spirit of Truth ( Holy Spirit ) will begin His wonderful work of unraveling all the lies in our lives that we have believed, and sets us free with the truth.

Jesus is saying he is the life.

This word, “ life” means lifetime in the Greek . Wow! We have this life in us that will be with us for a life time.
John 17:3 says that this life that Jesus gives will carry on into eternity. “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

Jesus has opened a new and living way for us to go through the curtain. (The curtain is his own body.) ( Hebrews 1:20 GWT)

Thank you Jesus that you have shown us the way, the truth, and the life. Because we have received you as our Lord and our Savior, we now live our lives walking in your footsteps. We thank you for sending the Comforter, the Holy Spirit that abides in our hearts. He is the Spirit Of Truth, He is the Spirit of Life and will help us to go forth in the pathway of life to the Father. In your name We pray.
