The manifestations and expressions of The Fruit of the Spirit

There are various types of fruit mentioned frequently in the Bible.  Fruit often indicates a thought close to our words, in what comes out of our mouth! Followed with an action, By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is the results in the lives of believers Gal 5:22-25 The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. There is no law against such things. This should be the manifestations in a Believers Life and those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. It consists with all goodness, righteousness, and truth! In Eph 5:9 are all expressions of   the Spirit.    Subject: righteousness, repentance, purity, Light, truth,      

This brings me to: Righteousness which is an expression of fruit that is put into action and is a positive result of a sound relationship within a local community or between God and His people. This speaks of righteousness that produce’s a harvest for Gods glory! In Phil 1:11 having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God. Jas. 3:18 and a harvest of righteousness are sown in peace for those who make peace.) We understand righteousness to mean "uprightness" and up right standing. In the Bible righteousness is rooted in covenants and relationships.  Human righteousness is absolute faith and commitment to God Matt. 3:15 But Jesus answered him; "Let it be so now; for it is proper for us in this way to fulfil all righteousness.” Rom 4:5 But to one whom without works trusts him, who justifies the ungodly, such faith is reckoned as righteousness.  The truth of God is described in the words "faithfulness" which is a fruit Rom 3:3 what if some were unfaithful? Will their faithlessness abolish the faithfulness of God? The answer is No! Let God be true but every man a liar. "That you may be justified in your words, and deeds.

This brings me to: Repentance, the fruit of repentance, is a change of thought pattern in our mind, a turning from sin to God a complete turnabout around. It is a knowing of regret in the same term can apply even to God. In the days preceding the flood, God was sorry that He had created the human race as in Gen. 6:6-7 and the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.  So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them." He later regretted that he had made Saul the king over Israel. As in 1 Sam. 15:11, 35 these also do not indicate mere regret or a change of mind; they mean God does not repent like humans 1 Sam. 15:29 He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a man, that he should change his mind."

This brings me to Purity, Habakkuk 1:13 indicates that God's eyes are too pure to look upon evil.  To be pure means to be free of some flaw or uncleanness which would stop one from contact with holy objects and places, especially from contact with the holy presence of God in worship. God is the ideal of purity and those who are to come in contact with God's presence are also to be pure.  Purity is also listed among virtues in understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; found in 2 Cor 6:6; Phil 4:8  Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. And 1 Tim 4:12 don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. As you compare with Mark 7:15 nothing outside a man can make him 'unclean' by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him 'unclean.'"  The sacrifice of Christ brings purification; Christ cleansed as a part of the work of the high priest and His blood cleanses from sin 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

This brings me to Light: The concept of “light appears a number of times in the Old and New Testament in Gen 1:3 And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. Scripture reveals that the physical that we call "light" is actually only the second form of light in the universe, since that God Himself is Light Psalm 27:1 says, "The Lord is my light. The LORD is my light and my salvation-- Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid? We are to cover ourselves with Light as a garment. In John 8:12 Jesus said, "I am the Light of the world.” I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." As you see God Himself is the very essence of light.  And is the ultimate source of all knowing and understanding. In Psalm 119:105 informs that Gods words is Light to guide and lead one along His path as the word is Light. To ones paths the other side of the coin is that people love darkness better than light, because their deeds are evil. As in John 3:19 this is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. This reveals one walking in impurity and is the opposite of Light that shows the fruit of evil darkness is designed to deceive, and to harbour in Matthew 5:14, We are the Light of the world Gods Light is in us as we let our light shine for Jesus in a dark world, darkness has to flee for what is hidden will be brought to light. What appears to be a contradiction is not one at all. The moon provides light for the earth just as the sun does. Gen 1:16 Yet, the actual source of light for both the sun and the moon is God. By the same token, Jesus is the source of all light and we become reflectors in a dark world, transmitting through the world the true light of the Son of God.

 This brings me to the fruit of Truth, The truth of God is reflected not only in His commandments; it is to be reflected in human life generally. "Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you"

Conclusion

 Jesus warned us that false prophets will be identified by their fruit in how they produce is, by the qualities manifested in their lives. As in Matt. 7:15-20 15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. 16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.   Jesus similarly warned of the necessity of bearing fruit that was compatible with citizenship in the kingdom of God Matt. 21:43 "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
