All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

The Greatest Love of all:

The greatest love of all; on a cross-, came to call He was to pay for our sins; rich or poor; one and all Oh how noble is He,

that He would choose to die for me Bring my soul into Heaven with God; victoriously.

I praise Him; who could love more than Jesus? Not a soul living or dead could ever have saved us.

Oh; He walked the old road with a beam upon His back A heavy burden, but determination He had no lack.

He died a death of horror that you and I might see The love He had for us throughout all eternity.

Even as a babe in the manger; I believe He knew. Knowing all the while that the Father and Heaven was due.

He is coming again; let us stay our soul to prepare. For when He comes for His bride,

to go there Into the realms of Heaven;

Oh what would we give?
Maybe a friend betrayed us; let us forgive.

I know He awaits His children with awesome love. We shall not know this love to the fullest until above.

Don't wait dad and mother, sister and brother to choose When your life here is gone; Heaven you'll not lose.

The Greatest Love Of All

The Bible has a different idea about love, especially what constitutes the greatest love.

The Bible describes the love of God as being great and almost beyond comprehension.

God's love is compared to the height of the heavens above the earth and even beyond.

Jesus defined the greatest love, as recorded in the gospel of John:

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)

Jesus Himself fulfilled this greatest love by dying for us so that we could be forgiven of all our sins and have fellowship with God:

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

This example of the extreme love of God is to apply to those who follow Jesus Christ.

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. (1 John 3:16)

If you have a secret sorrow, a burden or a loss,

An aching need for healing...
Hang It On The Cross.

If worry steals your sleep and makes you turn and toss,

If your heart is fealing heavy...
Hang It On The Cross.

Every obstacle to faith or doubt you come across,

Every prayer unanswered...
Hang It On The Cross.

For Christ has borne our brokenness and dearly paid the cost.

To turn our trials into triumph...
Hang It On The Cross.

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and bordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

I HAVE LOVED THEE WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE THEREFORE WITH LOVING KINDNESS HAVE I DRAWN THEE. JEREMIAH 31:3

I HAVE LOVED YOU, SAITH THE LORD. MALACHI 1:2

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

GOD IS LOVE. 1 JOHN 4:7

BELOVED IF GOD SO LOVED US, WE OUGHT ALSO TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER. 1 JOHN 4:11

FOR HIS MERCIFUL KINDNESS IS GREAT TOWARD US. PSALM 117:2

BEHOLD, WHAT MANNER OF LOVE THE FATHER HATH BESTOWED UPON US, THAT WE SHOULD BE CALLED THE SONS OF GOD. 1 JOHN 3:1

HEREIN IS LOVE, NOT THAT WE LOVED GOD, BUT THAT HE LOVED US, AND SENT HIS SON TO BE THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS. 1 JOHN 4:10

"For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly." Romans 5:6

Dear Father, thank you so much for your love. Thank you for your mercy and forgiveness. Teach us to be like Jesus. Dwell within us and manifest your love through us. May we obey you and not our own selfish desires. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
