All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

The Christian walk is absolutely thrilling, pleasant and full of energy. It is a safe walk and is joy un-speakable. We are walking with the Lord and it is His presence that makes all the difference. Even though we may encounter hidden snares and walk an unfamiliar path there is no fear of getting lost. We are never on our own as Jesus is accompanying us. Jn 10:11, 14, 15 Jesus died for us and knows his own.

Walking behind the Lord:

Jn 10:4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.  Jesus our Good Shepherd goes before us and shows us the way. He has been through everything and has set a pattern for us to follow Him. The path may seem difficult, but we need not despair, Jesus is going before us and leading the way. When we follow Him we will not lose our way and He will lead us into greener pastures. “The Lord is my shepherd.” In these words, the believer is taught to express his satisfaction in the care of the great Pastor of the universe, the Redeemer and Preserver of men. With joy he reflects that he has a shepherd, and that shepherd is Jehovah. A flock of sheep, gentle and harmless, feeding in verdant pastures, under the care of a skilful, watchful, and tender shepherd, forms an emblem of believers brought back to the Shepherd of their souls.

Walking before the Lord:

Gen 17:1 As we walk before the Lord, He is constantly watching over us, nothing misses His keen eyes. Nothing can ever happen to us without His knowledge. No evil can touch us; no enemy can approach us. We do not need to be dismayed when the going gets rough or strange, because the Lord Almighty is watching over us. Luke 12:6-7 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?   But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Walking with the Lord:

Ps 73:23 God would not suffer his people to be tempted, if his grace were not sufficient, not only to save them from harm, The Lord walks with us all the way. He has promised “I will never leave you”. The Lord has His way in the whirlwind, in the storm, in the sea and even through the fire, but the end of our long walk with Jesus. It is Jesus and us arriving together at our destination.  The Christian walk is absolutely thrilling, because it’s

Walking behind the Lord, walking before the Lord and walking with the Lord.

PRAYER:  Father help us to walk with you. I know you are walking with us. I love you and believe you will guide all my life. Thank you for your loving-kindness. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen
