The Call Of The Dessert !

Have you ever been in a dessert ? Some folks live there , but most of us live in more populated areas. Desserts have a reputation for making one thirsty . Athough that is true, theres a beauty about them that only certain people percieve I suppose.  I love driving through Arizona , Nevada and out by mojave desserts in California. Just beautiful. They are a neutral entity in themselves , But they can be your friend or your enemy. If your prepared with water and food, you can see the beauty. If your not , then you can see the devastating effects thereof. Our Heavenly Father has his own spiritual dessert for his children. When we start filling our time with to many things he likes to send us there to get thirsty for him. It can also serve as a school for our spiritual growth
and well being.  I have found that you can develope a craving for it. The serenity and the peace that it gives , if we take advantage of our time there. A time where its just me and the Father talking things out . If I ignore it, I become most miserable. When my dessert moment calls, I always get the same feeling : I feel like something is missing and I don,t  know what it is, But I will know it when I find it! If you find youself in that situation , it can be whatever you make of it. Draw nigh unto God , and he will draw nigh unto you .     God Bless!!
