All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

THE ANSWER TO THE GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS!!!

WHAT IF ALL THIS IS RIGHT???

That should be the question we ask when we hear of a brother in desperate need. But I have discovered that the normal human reaction is...

"WHAT IF THIS IS WRONG? WHAT IF IT'S A HOAX? I WILL BE RIPPED OFF!!!"
So we close our wallets and our hearts to the need.

We become more concerned about protecting our precious money than we do about protecting our precious brother.

From some tough experiences I've been through lately, I have learned a lot about human nature. And one thing is prominent. The spirit of greed is not discriminatory! GREED COMES IN ALL COLOURS!! No wonder the world is in such a financial mess!!

But we CAN reverse it. Just OPEN OUR HEARTS AND OUR WALLETS to the needs of our brothers and sisters.

Of course we need to us wisdom too, asking God to show us the best way to help, so that the money can be used in the best possible way, e.g., helping to provide someone with a livelihood so he can support himself. Look at it as sowing seed.

But sometimes we will be ripped off. Hey, what does that matter. God is the one who sees. Remember what it says in Proverbs:

"He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given." (19:17)

Our heavenly Father who always gives generously will repay us.

He who gives to the poor will not lack,
But he who hides his eyes will have many curses.
(Prov 28:27)

The rich man is wise in his own eyes,
But the poor who has understanding searches him out.
(Prov 28:11)

Whoever falsely boasts of giving
Is like clouds and wind without rain.
(Prov 25:14)

Do not rob the poor because he is poor,
Nor oppress the afflicted at the gate;
For the LORD will plead their cause,
And plunder the soul of those who plunder them.
(Prov 22:22-23)

He who oppresses the poor to increase his riches,
And he who gives to the rich, will surely come to poverty.
(Prov 22:16)

Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor
Will also cry himself and not be heard.
(Prov 21:13)

The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
The righteous run to it and are safe.
The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
And like a high wall in his own esteem.
(Prov. 18:10-11)

The generous soul will be made rich,
And he who waters will also be watered himself.
(Prov. 11:25)
