All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

All through the Word we are told, “ take courage,; take heart; be of good cheer; be comforted.
John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."  Ps 27:14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!  Mark 6:50 because they all saw him and were terrified. Immediately he spoke to them and said, "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
Mark 10:46-52 the story of Bartimaeus, who was blind and would sit on the roadside and beg. When he heard Jesus was coming he began to shout and ask to heal him. Jesus stopped and said, “Call him!” They told Bartimaeus, “Take courage; Cheer up; Take heart! Get up! He’s calling you.”
The word “take”: to hold, grasp, or grip; to make use of; to experience or feel.
We see scriptures telling us, “Take courage!” How it goes hand and hand w/ faith.
In Matt 9:22 Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.
We “take courage”, “be of good cheer” as we receive what we are believing for, it is needed so that we have a change of thinking. We receive by faith, we are able to hold on it, by a confidence in how we see the situation. We take courage, it is a decision we make, a confidence in Jesus that we will not be fearful. It is w/ a grateful heart and a courage that He is w/ us, and will never leave or forsake. So take courage this day, be of good cheer. We are Loved by Our Father, His Son, and Holy Spirit. That is the foundation on which we stand.
