All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

There's been a tremendous growing interest in survival preparedness.
Our Canadian government and electrity companies have even put up
websites that teaches how to be prepared in times of emergencies
like power outages, etc.

In these daily newsletters, I'd like to share a wealth of very
interesting survival skills like how to store and preserve food
for our families, how to start fires using unique methods that really
work, how to cook without electricity, how to preserve and store water,
how to find food in your own backyard and in the fields and forests,
etc. The list is endless. Did you know that you can eat pine bark and
dandelion leaves and roots and that tea that is made from birch bark? It
has the same properties as aspirin.

My grandparents raised 16 children on a farm without the convenience
of electricity. I'll share a lot of the things they did to take care of
the family. Also, my Aunt Odette ministers to some Canadian Native
Indians here in Ontario, Canada, and they share a lot of valuable
survival techniques with her that are not freely shared with
non-natives. I'll see what I can share with you.

I'll also share survival recipes, websites and videos that you can watch
for free.

These newsletters are free and the only financial support will come
from any sales generated from purchases that come from the
survival websites that I talk about. I've purchased a lot of
supplies from some of these sites myself.

SURVIVAL RECIPE
My recipe for bannock which is a pan-fried bread.
The dough can also be wrapped around a stick and
roasted over an open fire.

My Special Bannock
********
1 cup whole-wheat flour
1 cup enriched flour
5 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. stevia (www.healthrecipes.com/health_stevia.htm) or
3 tbsp. brown sugar
3 T. olive oil added to batter
olive oil or clarified butter to fry batter
water
optional:
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins
scoop of protein powder
1/4 cup raw wheat germ

Mix all ingredients except water. Slowly add water until the batter
feels like soft cookie dough. Make the dough thicker if you are
going to wrap it around a stick and roast it over a fire. Don't
overwork it. Drop 1/4 cup rounds of dough in hot oil.
Flatten a little with a fork. Fry on a low-medium heat
until nice and brown.

Tip: Premix the bannock ingredients except the oil and water. When
needed, just add water and oil.
