All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I honestly can't deal with people!  The last few months I fooled myself into believing that somehow God was allowing that I be afflicted  with certain symptoms that were affecting my health for a bigger purpose. I somehow felt that He was calling me to take a journey on His path. Months have passed and all I've gotten is angrier, more bitter, and downright rude!

Dealing with the public is not my strong suit whatsoever. I can come across very curt, blunt, and insensitive. People tell me constantly to try and be more compassionate, more patient and to not take things personally but I can't! I feel like I'm permanently damaged! I thought going down this path would make me more of a positive individual. I was under the impression things would become a little bit easier to deal with especially when dealing with the public. It has only gotten harder!

I don't want to be a quitter but I just feel like a downright hypocrite if I'm trying to improve and yet completely going backwards! I don't want to disappoint God or myself! Maybe I should just go back to that dark place I've always found myself in. Maybe eventually it'll all end and I don't have to deal with it anymore!

Hi Diana,

A good way is to think about how God would have you respond... before you respond.  You can either respond the way you always do or you can respond the way you know God wants you to.

Would you want your child sick to punish him/her? Neither does God want you sick. He wants good things for His children.

If you allow your own senses to rule...they will. You need to renew your mind and get it into right thinking with God. God isn't going to make His thinking align with yours. He needs to be your all in all. Read His Word and allow the holy Spirit adjust you thinking to what God would have. You can receive all from God if you have received His Son as your Savior. This is the first step in finding all the good things God has for you. If you are wanting to return to that dark place, you need Christ. Really need Him...not for show but for your salvation. Talk to God about this FIRST. Then seek the things that you long for.

Blessings to you as you search for Christ....

Rita

Hi Diana,

Some years back in a Christian church we were attending, a female member stood up during Prayer and Share Time and requested prayer for God to fix her up with a different job than the one she had. It seems in her present occupation she was surrounded with members of a religion based in Salt Lake City. She wanted to get away from them. Some of the congregation prayed for God to relocate her (my wife and I didn't). We felt maybe God had set her up in that situation for His purpose.

We prayed for her to hunker down in the Spirit, and overcome the uncomfortableness of her surroundings.

She quit her job a short time later.............and then quit the church.....never heard from her again..........sad.....

Diana, the path you mentioned just might be the path God wants you to be on. And.... many times God wants to hone His children for reasons known only to Him. For instance, you don't know what might happen there someday.......... or who you might meet.

I've come to the point in life that.....I don't care what kind of mood people approach me in.....whatever they feel they have to say to me....... I ignore their bitterness, discourtesy, rudeness (I could keep going, right?)

But, THAT'S THEIR PROBLEM!! ........... I'M NOT GOING TO LET THEM BRING ME DOWN WITH THEIR PROBLEM.

I'm going to try to show them Jesus. a smile.....a kind word,...compliment. What did Jesus say? KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS (in so many words). Check Matthew, Chapter 5. Pray for them.......it's kind of hard to be mad at someone who you're praying for.

Finally, 1 Peter 4:12-13,"Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; (13) but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing; so also at the revelation of His glory, you may rejoice with exultation.".

We're praying for you, also.

Grace and Peace.

Diana

I Pray that you don't go back to such a place.  God will not allow more then you can bear.  What has worked for me is, I acknowledge to Him that in this or that area I am weak.  As we allow Holy Ghost to minster to us,  the Spirit will show us how to be.  The Word tells us not to think about what  we are to say, but He will give us the Words, in the right time.  As the Word also tells us stone to stone we are sharpened, and shaped to fit as a Living Stone in the Temple of God.  We will be lifting you up in Prayers, and keeping you in our thoughts.  As others read this, and share what you are going through.  I am sure of what I said to be true.
