All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Seeking Brothers in Christ to Return to God

Hi,

I was an active member of my Dad's church as a boy, even confirmed, but when my Dad and I had a major falling out I completely turned my back on God.  I associated with intellectuals, athiests, agnostics.  I looked down on 'belief' and adopted logic and reason as my foundation.

This, over the years, has left a hole in my life.  Like a boat with no anchor.  I need to return to God, but I am seeking Brothers in Christ as a support group/fellowship to help peel back years of anti religion indoctrination.

I pray to be lead in the right direction in order to find this.

All the best to you,

Alex

Proverbs 27: 17 NIV

"As iron sharpens iron,
    so one person sharpens another."

Finding a good church to fellowship in is a great start. I myself felt the very same way as you when I began my walk to a true relationship with the Lord. I found just such a place and now I am actually an Elder in that church. We share small group Bible studies, fellowship prayer meetings and this weekend I will attending a conference called "Iron Sharpens Iron." I strongly urge you to continue in faithful prayer for your answer and stay close to studding the Bible. God speaks to us in many different ways. As Eric says; "your journey starts with the step you have just made."

Your friend,

journeyman

Hi,

I went through classes and a process of confirmation of my faith. Not unlike an adult baptism.

What do you mean when you say you were a member of your Dad's church, even confirmed?
