PRAYER...

PRAYER IS MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MY FATHER. God has taught me so much about prayer. He has taught me so much...if all of us as christians would take the time to talk to our father, He would talk back. If we tooke the time to really listen, we would know how to walk and how to get over this life! He has taught me to come to Him first. He is the most important person in my life, therefore He does come first.

When I first started developing my prayer life, I remember making a commitment to get up early and send my husband off to work, then spend some time with the Lord. I remember asking Him to let me hear His voice. I wanted to hear an audible voice. I knew that it was possible! I also asked Him to speak to me through my dreams, or just let me dream about Him. He did. Everyday, after my noon prayer, I would lay the kids down for a nap and take one too. This is the time the Lord would cause me to dream about Him, or about the holy spirit. I was having alot of dreams about casting out demons and that kinda freaked me out. I wasn't real sure about what this meant and wasn't sure if I wanted to really know what it meant! After, I think it was abut three weeks of consistent prayer, I was making supper and I just decided to invite the Lord to have supper with us. I said, "Jesus, won't you please join us for supper?" Of course I didn't hear him answer me. So that didn't matter. I told the kids we were having a special guest join us for supper and they were so excited and asked who it was and I said, "It's Jesus!" They shouted joyfully, "Yippee!" They made me excited!!
I prepared our meal and set a place for 'the Lord' at the head of the table, then set our places. I served Him His food first and a tall glass of milk, then I served the others. We prayed the blessings on our meal and ate as we always did, but I could sense that something was different at this mealtime. My husband finished, pushed his plate back, let out a loud burp and got up to go watch t.v. The kids finished and got up to go play, and I said with in myself, "Lord, I'm sorry they didn't stay so we could all finish together and talk with you." The I heard, loud and clear. "THANK YOU FOR THE MEAL!" I was so blessed! I was so blessed!! God had just spoke to me and thanked me for supper!! That was it! I had to hear His voice again! This took me on a long, adventurous journey thru the years and God has SO rocked my life! I love to hear His voice!!
