2. We need to improvise in our evangelistic efforts. (V.2)

3. God is always sowing into people's lives. (V.3)

4. God's word will be resisted and bitten by the enemy. (V.4)

5. God's word needs to be deeply rooted in our lives or we will wither and be scorched in times of testing. (V.5,6)

6. God's word will be unfruitful if we give priority to our wants and delusions of wealth. (V.7)

7. We need to hear, understand and apply the word of God in our lives to be fruitful. (V.8)

8. We need to listen carefully to God's word. (V.9)
