All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Some people appear to go out of their way to offend others. They love to shock and do not care of the ramifications of their offence, and how it can render some insecure. Many use these techniques to manipulate individuals. “to keep others in their place.” Imposing restrictions they themselves feel entitled not to be under. “You don’t have the right brand of jeans, car, or whatever. So you can’t be one of us!!” Even to the point of not being in the correct church. No matter about Jesus, ‘if your name is not on our membership, it is not in the Book of Life!!”

Can we offend if others, are not even aware of the offence? Various ones love the “inside jokes,” we laugh to ourselves or to those in our group. That in itself can just be jokes, but when the feeling of superiority at an other's inferiority. These are the best kind some think, “he deserve the put down because, he does not get it,” the cool group says. It may take awhile however, most feel the pain sooner or later.

Matt 18:6-7 "These little ones believe in me. It would be best for the person who causes one of them to lose faith to be drowned in the sea with a large stone hung around his neck. How horrible it will be for the world because it causes people to lose their faith. Situations that cause people to lose their faith will arise. How horrible it will be for the person who causes someone to lose his faith!

We can see how this is bulling, one aspect of bulling that many fail to comprehend till it’s to late is, it’s outcome can not be counted on. We can all see how it makes one feel helpless, we never know when that “last straw” arrives however. “It’s all apart of growing up”; “It will make the victim stronger”; on and on the justification go. As it says in Matt, “How horrible it will be for the person who causes someone to lose his faith!” To bully is wrong. I believe we all can agree that is true enough. But, what is bulling? That is for another day I think though.
To take offence when none was given, can have the exact same effect. To give encouragement by words or actions, and then be accused of offending that individual, can be like ice cold water thrown on you. Even then any attempts to clarify your intent, will be seen as a justification and gives validity to what to the person received as an offense. It can leave the person cold and uncaring. They will second guess themselves or even worse have no desire to reach out. As I think is part of what Matt 18:6-7 talks about.
There maybe some that will take this as a offense. When these are only thoughts and words. As it is w/ anything, if something rings true in you about a word or something, give it the pause it deserves. When not then let it go, maybe it is only a seed for another day. Or it was never about you to begin w/. Many times the elbow has problems w/ the things the little toes need to hear. You get my drift. We are the Body, we are One.

We must always take the good, from what we can from things, and let the other things be as water on a ducks back.  We spend to much time, either wondering if it is an attack, or not.  Let us see clearly as w/ eyes from Holy Ghost, and take what we can and move on together.  The enemy succeeds if it can plant a seed or, get us to waste even a moment at odds w/ another.  I also love 2 Cor 4:8-9 it has helped me many times.  Love any and all the pic you post.

Nancy

So glad this could be a help to you.  I had known you were going through a rough patch, as we all do from time to time.  We must always remember to lift each other up, and know that we have the freedom to share our experiences.  None of us go any further then, the rest of us do.  We are the Body.
