Obedience

I have said that it is safer to be in a dangerous place IN the will of God, than to be in a SAFE place OUTSIDE of God's will. Well, I had been hoping to make my eighth mission trip to Peru this year, but the Lord indicated otherwise. When I spoke to my Pastora, she said the word she kept getting was "PRUNING." In John 15 it speaks about fruitful branches being cut back so that they can bear more fruit. My trip last summer was so very fruitful. Relationships were strenghthened, new ones cultivated, and the Holy Spirit was moving mightily in the ministry of visitation and encouragement.
It hurt so much to leave my "kids" and friends even when I thought I'd be returning this year...so much more when I realized i don't know WHEN I'll return. But I know I shall...In GOD's time. I would rather endure the pain of missing my loved ones, obeying my Father... than going forth in my own flesh, my own will, without His anointing. I know His will is good and perfect, and whatever He works in my life during this season is not only for my own good but also for the good of those to whom I shall minister.
