All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I've just created a "new" group titled: Standing on the Word of God.  Please drop by and leave your favourite Bible Verse(s) and if you like, say why that verse is meaningful in your life. Thanks heaps. It is so important to stand firm on God's Word and promises. Talking/writing about it also helps to solidify the power of God's Word in our hearts. Thank you.

Abundant Blessings to all.

"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid; for the Lord thy God is with thee whitersoever thou goest." [Joshua 1:9]

God directed my hands to find this verse the morning before my flight to New Jersey. I really didn't want to go for personal reasons, one of them was, being asked to drive while I was there. What happened though was extraordinary: I did drive...and got lost; but through it all God kept me calm. The thing that was most remarkable about my visit to the Rehab Center where my dad was, was my encounter with another patient who had lost both of his parents in a short period of time. He was badly affected by this. I discovered that he was a believer, and I was able to share with him the likelihood of meeting his parents again in heaven. This brought him comfort. In his own words he said: "I've waited a long, long time to speak to someone like you. Thank you." This brought tears to my eyes, for I realized then that my mission to New Jersey was not just for my dad, but it was really about this man. Praise the Lord! Inasmuch as I didn't want to make that trip, I obeyed the Holy Spirit's voice and Father God took care of the rest. Amen!

Lina, Thanks heaps for share your verse and the reason why it meant so much to you. We serve an awesome Triune God of grace, mercy, love, compassion, and hope!

Abundant Blessings!

Jeremiah 29 : 11

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and I hope".

Whenever I go through difficult times, this verse gives me hope.  It assures me about the will of God for me is not what I am going through at that moment.  This verse gives me strength to go on in life.

Ephesians 3:14-21

14For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

20Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, 21to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
