All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

We have all heard, “the strongest part of a chain is found in its weakest link.” The Word tells us, Rom 8:26 “At the same time the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we don't know how to pray for what we need. But the Spirit intercedes along with our groans that cannot be expressed in words.”
2Cor 12:9-10 9 But he told me: "My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak." So I will brag even more about my weaknesses in order that Christ's power will live in me. 10 Therefore, I accept weakness, mistreatment, hardship, persecution, and difficulties suffered for Christ. It's clear that when I'm weak, I'm strong. In these verses we find some of the working parts of Faith. We are the most strong when we humble ourselves before our Lord. Not to show our weakness but, His Strength. As we yield who we are in our thinking, to who God wants and needs us to be. To humble ourselves before the Lord, to desire that our Lord be Glorified in our actions. This sets into operation who Jesus is, living within us. To allow Holy Spirit the freedom to operate, as He the Father desires. We arrive at the place where we must be. Not stripped of power, but humbled ability to express His Love through us. We learn to show others as well as ourselves all that He can be through us. We cannot impress or surprise God. We show just how strong He is in our life, the more and more we give into Him. For us to see who God is, we must be able to see how we are in Him. We are and will be promoted, as we allow Him to be that Saviour in us.
One thing the enemy wants to do is limit our perception of Our Loving Father. God wants us to stretch our Faith out. Let’s look at verse 9 of 2Cor 12, 9 But he told me: "My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak."...”My Kindness; My Grace is all you need. As we meditate on the attributes of Our Father and His Kindness; His Grace is ALL WE NEED!!! Matt 7:11 “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him.” Some may see only that we are sinful people, but they would miss the point. As His Children we must see Him in His Kindness, also know that He will always know what is best for us. The last five words of verse 11 ...to those who ask Him. We must have Faith to please God. In this one verse Jesus encourages us to Trust God, as we exercise our Faith. Rom 8:26 “...the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we don't know how to pray for what we need. But the Spirit intercedes...” We begin to observe how all these parts fit together. “... It's clear that when I'm weak, I'm strong.” The Spirit helps us to Pray. We Believe; we depend on His Kindness; on His Grace. As we mature in this thinking, our Trust can only grow stronger. He is the Giver of gifts, He understands our needs better than we do. As we put all of these things into operation, the Spirit helps us to Pray, “...My power is strongest when you are weak." This statement is also a expression of Faith. To Believe His Power is best expressed when we are weak. This takes a humble heart, not one that has been beaten, or one that has given up. For a heart humbled unto Christ, is a very powerful heart indeed. A heart that seeks to serve God, and bring Glory to Jesus, is a force found nowhere else. As we learn to Trust God, we understand Paul’s words more clearly, “So I will brag even more about my weaknesses in order that Christ's power will live in me. 10 Therefore, I accept weakness, mistreatment, hardship, persecution, and difficulties suffered for Christ. It's clear that when I'm weak, I'm strong.” These are only words until we begin to live them. These words are Faith in action. They are the result of a heart humbled to Christ. Through humility is the only way they can be understood, the only way they can be lived. As people have tried to “live” this way, without first understanding them, they can become discouraged. And, lose hope in Christ. It is not that we live this way, it is the result of being humbled so it becomes our way of life. So clearly all of the Glory goes to the Lord. It can only be through Jesus that weakness becomes strength. “...the Spirit also helps us in our weakness,” "...My kindness is all you need...,” this is such a wonderful, dynamic, and paramount Truth. Our Father; our Dad tells us all we need is His Kindness; His Grace. To grasp this Knowledge fuels our Faith, and tempers our thinking in humility. Which in turns instructs us in living for the Glory of the Lord.

Chris, your words are so true.  Being closer to God means complete surrender which I think stems from humility. Before God I humble myself, for I feel I can't ever measure up to His expectations, but at the same time I feel His love for me.  Sometimes, when I kneel down to pray, I truly lack the words; to speak out how I feel or even what I need.  Our Lord is awesome, none other can compare to Him. When I think all is lost, in my weakness, He lifts me up. Our knowledge of Him and His faithfulness is what keeps us going in this world today. All we truly need is His kindness.

Thank you brother, I know many who read this post will be blessed by it.

God bless you!
