“When you fast, see to it that you groom your hair and wash your face. In that way no one can see you are fasting but your Father who is hidden.” Mt.6:17-18

Reflection:

   The spiritual life is too sacred and intimate to be paraded before others. It is only between God and the soul.

   Any other motive – even if it is only the desire to be pitied or recognized – destroys everything.

Prayer:

   “My Father, let me always seek You alone. Help me to give You honor and receive Your approval. In the name of Jesus I pray. AMEN!!!”
