All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Masturbation is the stimulation of one’s genitals with one’s hands for sexual pleasure.

Many have called masturbation a normal thing because it has to do with the satisfaction of one’s feelings. Many people today masturbate because they don’t want to be moved by the physical attractions of the opposite sex when they go out.

Masturbation is seen to be very pleasurable when one has no partner to have sexual intercourse with. But this same thing has a very big disadvantage.

Its alluring nature makes its victims become addicts to it. Many even enjoy it more than normal sex.

Masturbation is evil; it is a type of sexual immorality, and it has its reward. There is a spirit of sexual immorality assigned to it that gives the bearer an ever growing desire to continue engaging in it after the first experience.

In male, masturbation is very bad; it may feel pleasing to the bearer at the moment but a time comes when the effect will start showing.

First, the man will be easily carried away by pornographic videos or pictures: he could ejaculate without anyone touching him. This is because his male organ is now sensitive to every touch. His brains becomes very fast in calculating what is to happen in the video, and this makes him know what the pone actor is to do next. Because of his great expectation of what the pone actor is about to do, before he knows it, he has ejaculated.

This is so because masturbation takes a lot of hallucination: the bearer imagines that he was doing it with a girl. And when he is used to this act, his male organ becomes sensitive to his touch, and even the touch of a female, thereby making him not last long during real sex.

To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Whoever sows in the flesh, will in turn reap in the flesh. (Galatians 6:7)

This topic has become so relevant because it is one of the problems that lead to broken homes in the world today.

Romans 1:24 says, Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

Sexual dissatisfaction is a reward of masturbation. A man who is used to the act of masturbation can hardly satisfy his wife when it comes to sex because during sex, even before sex, he had imagined all that he would do to his wife and so before he even starts, he is almost done. And since his male organ is too sensitive, he ejaculates within 1 to 2 minutes.

This is a problem that has affected many homes in the world today. When they engage in it (masturbation), they gain satisfaction not knowing it has a reward.

Many men have lost their homes because of this; many wives have gone out to find succor in other men because of their husband’s inability to satisfy them sexually; and many have divorced because of sexual dissatisfaction which emerged as a result of masturbation.

HOW DID THEY START IT

This starts between the last two years of their teenage age and the first ten years of their youth age. The bearer becomes a victim of this evil sometime as a result of bad company (friends). Since he is young, he has this high libido which courses him to be swayed by evil desires and advises. In some cases, he has not reached the appointed age to engage in sex and so he finds a way to satisfy himself. His friends who have been victims of this evil (masturbation) give him all the education he needs concerning the act, and so he finds a quite place to practice it, and when he sees that it helped him, he continues in the act until it becomes a habit.

A Christian who engaged in the act of masturbation should not expect a good result. An apple tree cannot bear orange fruit: it will produce fruits of its kind. Quick ejaculation is a product of masturbation.

Christians are therefore, advised to hold on to the word of God as masturbation is a sin against their bodies, their wives and above all God.

Christian parents are advised to teach their children the implication of masturbation. They might not commit fornication but masturbation is very common among teenagers and youths. The earlier you advise them the better for them.

Christ said anyone who looks at a woman with lost has committed sexual immorality with her. In Christianity, hallucinating about having sex with someone is a sin and hallucination normally goes with masturbation.

Parents are therefore, admonished to teach their children to be holy in all areas of their lives. They should teach them all the verses in the Bible that kicked against sexual immorality.

ADVICE

Always avoid alluring movies. Examples are; pone videos, highly romantic videos, etc. Others are pone pictures, and looking deeply at a girl beyond what she is wearing.

Learn to always turn to the word of God when feeling rises.

Do not always give attention to attractive and fascinating things.

FOR THOSE THAT ARE VICTIMS OF MASTURBATION

Do not be discouraged, you can stop it; it is easy to stop when you are a Christian.

God is always there to help us overcome our past if we seek him diligently.

To overcome it, kindly read the entire book of Matthew in the Bible.

Having read it, compare the words of Christ with your way of life. If there are differences, then there is a need for you to amend your ways to his ways. Before you finish observing his words, you must have overcome it.

Please note that before you read the book, kindly pray a short prayer with all your heart welcoming the Holy Spirit to teach you his word and reveal the reality behind the teachings to you the way he wants you to know them. Having prayed the prayer and read the book (Matthew), post a reply if you have any questions.

However, you still need prayer because masturbation has a spirit that needs to be overcome.

Please do not ignore if you are someone that masturbates, it is dangerous. It is one of the problems that courses divorce in the world today, and to fight divorce, one has to start from the scratch.

Coming up next is COVETOUSNESS, kindly paste your questions, by the grace of God, I will answer them.

Thank you and God bless you.

Pray, Pray, Pray!  Get prayed up for sure!  Thanks for the article.  In my opinion, I think most men have an issue w/this, including myself.

Tammy's right, no one want's to discuss the issue.  The Lord tells us to confess your sins to one another and pray for each other.  This is so not happening in the church's iv'e been to.

Thank-You bro!

Matt

Many people are struggling with addictions to pornography, sex, masturbation, drugs, alcohol, food, gambling, and so on.

Paul tells us in the letters to the Corinthians that we are free to do many things, but not to fall under the power of any of them, become addicted in other words. He also tells us that not all things edify us.

Can a person masturbate and not become addicted to this extremely addicting practice? i am sure there are those out there that would say - yes - am able to do it once a week or once a month or etc... without thinking lustful thoughts, but don't we believe that when we are abiding in Christ, walking in the Spirit, those desires disappear from our mind? And our lives become full of joy and preoccupied only with those things pleasing to the Lord? i believe 100% that as we abide in Christ we can overcome the desires of the flesh, which is what masturbation is. A desire of the flesh.

I am familiar with the argument below by many:

"One reason why this is a false argument against masturbation is because the New Testament never says that "gratifying the flesh" is a sin. For example, when you scratch an itch then you are "gratifying the flesh." When you're hungry and you eat something, you are "gratifying the flesh." In fact, when a husband and wife make love then they are "gratifying the flesh" in a sexual way. These things are not sins, so "gratifying the flesh" is not sinful in itself.

Instead, the sin is in the method that we use to "gratify the flesh" (such as adultery). If we can prove from the Bible that masturbation is a wrong method for "gratifying the flesh," then masturbation would be a sin. But the argument that masturbation is "gratifying the flesh" doesn't mean anything because "gratifying the flesh" is not sinful in itself."

So God did not think that masturbation needed to be addressed in the Bible. As Dr. James Dobson of Focus on the Family said, "It is my opinion that masturbation is not much of an issue with God." (Preparing for Adolescence, Dr. James Dobson, p.83).

I would say this much in conclusion, if you are able to masturbate without the use of lust (porn etc..) and you have a good relationship with Chrit and yet do not get any conviction from the Spirit of the practice, then that is between you and the Lord. If you battle with sexual immorality issues in the past, including masturbation addiction, and/or God has told you directly to stay away from masturbation, then obey God.Just my thoughts-

As to the comment that this is not a matter of theology, well - theology is the study of God or things pertaining to God and in its strictest form, this is not a theological topic. But I did not want to create a group specifically for the type of issues and just decided to throw it in here. Bear with me you all. Be Blessed Family!
